Other military vehicle reproduced by Solido, the Renault VAB, here in its 4x4 VTT version (" Vehicule de Transport de Troupes", which means "Personnel Carrier Vehicle"): Link to the Wikipedia page describing the VAB (" Vehicule de l' Avant Blinde", which could be translated as "Armored Vanguard Vehicle"), the standard French Army Armored Personnel Carrier for many years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A9hicule_de_l%27Avant_Blind%C3%A9 Regards. A "millepiedi" road combination, then authorized on Italian roads at 44 tonnes: FIAT/Perlini 690 N3-B 8x2/6 truck fitted with a Perlini tilting dropside body (GMTS model) loaded with 15 unknown brand wooden boxes and 20 wood pallets of 0.5 tonnes (Corgi loads), towing an Adige 1+3-axle dropside trailer (GMTS model) carrying 94 cotton bales of 1.36 tonnes (modified Corgi load), To be continued. Closer shots of the FIAT/Perlini truck with its Viberti tipping body Please note that, at that time, most of Italian trucks had a right-side driving seat -in spite of driving on the right side of the road - to be located, for a better view, on the dangerous side in mountainous and winding roads: The Italian road combination, beautifully restored, which was probably modeled in a 1/50 scale: Regards. Sorry for the mistake. Guy

Craig, The model was only recently offered in various colors by GMTS: https://lkwmodelle.de/GMTS-GOLDEN-OLDIES-LINIE-50:::3296.html As most of their resin 1/50 production, it is built by their Romanian sub-contractor, resulting in long delays between announcement and availability. I hope it helps. Guy

We all know commercial links between model producers and plant equipment or vehicles manufacturers, limited series produced for third parties are less known. Below, a combination produced by Conrad - in a Rheinland-Pfalz German town Technical Services livery, exclusively produced for MSW, a model retailer well-known within European collectors: MAN TGS 35-440 BL 8x4/4 truck with a front tool holder plate and a Meiller RK30 hydraulic drop-off tipper loading device, carrying a Meiller RS26 large-volume drop-off tipping body and towing a Schwarzmüller Tü 40/100 2+2-axle low bed drawbar trailer (Conrad/MSW models). The combination is delivering a Liebherr LR 636 tracked loader with ripper of 23.61 tonnes (Conrad model). To be continued. Guy

Pretty rare in Jean-Jacques' collection - mainly concentrating on 50s-70s French vehicles or plant equipment and South-East of France companies (Monaco included) -, a Toyota 4x4 double-cabbed van turned into a Japanese light intervention pumper by Nikki: In the background, a 1/57 US Forest Fire all-wheel drive GMC.
