DAF revolutionized the European truck with its spacious and luminous 2600-series cab in the 60s, then its tilting cab late sixties (among which the new 2000-series models). As a result, the local truck manufacturer expanded internationally: Regards. Guy

Hornby Hobbies Ltd, current owner of the Corgi brand, recently reproduced 37 old Corgi Toys models dating back from the sixties: https://corgimodelclub.com/en-ie/collections/corgi-authentic-re-issues . It should be noted that approx. 20% of these were in a scale ranging from 1/48 to 1/52. As an example, the car below: Ford Thunderbird H58 4x2/2 open top coupe car (Hornby-Corgi Toys model being modified), Regards. Guy

Guy, does that ETAL trailer have T.I.R. in the cast, or is it added?

Modelmaniac, There are different ETAL DAF box semi-trailers produced by Lion Car or Lion Toys throughout the years: round front, square front... They all have tilting landing legs: This is probably one of the first models to be produced and yes it has the TIR sign cast in the die. I hope it helps. Guy

Guy: You know that Matchbox/Dinky made a Mack B-61 for the McDonalds rig. They are still around over here. Those Macks are still some of the best diecast trucks ever. Craig

Craig,
The McDonald's set came originally with a 6x4 Mack B61 I'm saving for another duty. It is planned to go with the future HHR Talbert 1+3-axle lowboy, scheduled for end 2024 (as per another topic in DHS Diecast Forum).
Cheers. Guy
