Cable slings can be removed: As a bonus, another of the various pictures that inspired the 1/50 overhaul scene: Next time, while further shovel overhaul is being prepared, we'll follow one of the heavy haulage set that delivered the MegaTraction equipment, loading back to its owner an equipment tested in LorraMine sometime ago. Wow. Im so amazed by all of these dioramas. De-pinning the tracks and removing the track frame from the model? Something I will probably never try on my own. I also like all of the workers in all these different positions. Really adds to the realism...

Our photographer calls for some personnel to stand in front of the O&Ks to give a better idea of their size: He even used the drone to get an aerial view of the scene: Next time, he'll be back to the Bucyrus overhaul scene, as preparation for the standard exchange of its damaged main ring is progressing: Regards. Guy, not only these guys are great modelers and weathering artists, but now they also appear to be skilled machinists.
Talk about teamwork. Very impressive.

Gents,
I suppose that the new ring was machined for the scene but as I'm not 100% sure, I'll ask and let you know.

Following Bucyrus Service Man recommendations, the damaged ring is taken away for disposal as it is too damaged to be overhauled: Next time, we'll follow final fitting operations of the new ring on the shovel chassis. Regards. Guy
