At "Jean-Paul Transports", the boss has forgotten all about its "100% French equipment" policy with the import of a Mack H67 6x4 tractor (Dan Models):

Guy: I love the Mack cabover. Is that the resin model with static wheels? Craig

Craig,

The Dan Models Mack COE unit has free-rolling wheels, even if the tires (like everything else on that model) are resin-made.

I hope it helps.

Guy very nice Volvo tractors with the Lowbed and cranes. I’m glad the boss let the policy slide for the Mack, that is a very nice looking model, did Jean-Paul do any customizing on it or is it right out of the box?

Steve,

I think that The Dan Models Mack was used unmodified, while the Conrad semi-trailer attached to it was upgraded to look like an American semi-flatbed.

An "exotic" scene arranged by Jean-Jacques, with 2 kits found in a friend's storage.
The Komatu(*) G40 bulldozer with its oversized hydraulic hoses and the GMC CCKW truck equipped with a civilian tipper are busy performing some backfilling job in a Far-East island, sometimes after the end of WW2:

Note (*): keen observers have noted that the bulldozer is badged "Komatu" and not "Komatsu". I first thought of a moulding and decals mistake but after some investigation, it is obvious that the 1/48 Tamiya kit is correct, the "tsu" being only introduced in the Japanese language in 1954 by the Hepburn romanization standard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hepburn_romanization
The real unit:

In Middle-Eastern countries, movement over long distances of large road-going cranes are often performed by heavy haulage sets, using modular trailers. Such a transport in UAE in the 80s:

FAUN HZ 40.45/45 8x8/4 ballasted tow truck (modified Zon Models kit) and Nicolas 12-line modular trailer (modified Corgi model) moving a 96 tonnes Krupp 250 GMT hydraulic telescopic crane with its Krupp 16x8/12 carrier (modified Conrad model)

In the 80s, Scalex internal site move in the Alsthom Belfort factory (France) of an equipment being built for a future electrical generation plant.
Their Willeme TG 250 8x8/4 ballasted tow truck (Miniatures du Faubourg model) is towing 2 Nicolas 9-line modular trailers arranged side-by-side (modified Corgi model) loaded with a 254 tonnes Alsthom alternator on its transport skid (modified Corgi load on a homemade frame)

The heavy haulage combination at development phase:

The Volvo 4x2 was originally an Atlas skip tipping NL10 unit (Conrad), which had first been changed into a short flatbed unit:

It was since turned into a tractor:

2 Ayala heavy haulage sets, a transport and craneage company from South-West of France, now disappeared:

Volvo FH16 II-T660 8x4/4 tractor and Nooteboom OVB 65-04V (ZT) 4-axle extendable semi-low bed semi-trailer (WSI models) loaded with 36.8 tonnes ECIM steel HEB700 structural beams for an industrial building (modified Corgi load)
