WSI LTM 1500-8.1 Bay Crane:

Yes you read the title correctly! I did not know this crane existed until about 1 week or so ago. A fellow collector contacted me and told me about it, including pictures and then I had to have it!

I do not really know much about it but from what I understand, there were 150 made for Bay Crane with none going to collectors. It was for their 75th anniversary last year as far as I know. There have been 4 make it to the collectors market, one of which I now have :d/

Here are few pictures and I hope to get it rigged today, or tomorrow at the latest.

How about a 1500 family photo, you have all them so far besides the factory yellow?

When the weather improves I will. But I am missing two that I have no intention of getting and they are the Ocean Traders and Liebherr. Having said that, I have seen photos of the ASIAGROUP 1500 and if I can confirm it is RAL 1007 then I'd buy the Liebherr version and convert it to the ASIAGROUP one.

Couple of quick family shots:

Grohmann

Missing is the MB with stepframe which I have but have not displayed them as yet. Used to have the LG but have since sold it. Not sure if that was a smart move now!

Thömen

Missing is the LTF 1060-4.1, LTM 1200-5.1 and MB 8x 4 with lowloader, all of which I have but have not displayed them either yet.

The Bay Crane was such a surprise. I wonder how many other liveries are out that we don't know about!

From what I have been told there currently are no more that are not known. The only other livery that I have been told about that was not made available to collectors was this little LTM 1050-3.1 that I posted earlier:

Not as exciting as the Bay Crane but nice to have nonetheless.

Hy Paul

Did you also have the problems on your LTM 1500-8.1s, as they are discussed at the Hansebubeforum ?

front and rear axles that are hanging a few millimetres in the air in driving position, they call it the undercarriage makes a banana Teeth

Main Winch assembled in the wrong way

I've had problems with the 1500's but not the banana chassis as described on Hansebube.
