That K&H does look rather good!
Must see if I can locate one from somewhere....

Re the Van Grinsven. Is it actually out officially? I have seen one or two on eBay but none at any online dealers. It looks quite bright!

Ok, first the K&H looks absolutely stunning. I have been wondering just how this model would look after seeing the picture of the real one on LTM but it looks equally good.

Andrew, the Van Grinsven is "the story of my life"!. It is out but just hasn't hit the UK yetNot talking

Maybe, maybe this week Pray

What makes that particular model special for you? Don't take that the wrong way! I am interested to what causes a particular model tp sell so well or be so sought after by some collectors.
Heavy Haulage and associated models are a recent interest for me.

Whay do you all buy the ones you have?
I guess for me I buy quite a few models simply because they look good, but others like the WSI TDR was because it is a local firm - and I have actually seen the real one now! And of course companies like Ainscough etc are so well known. To me though some of the German companies - such as K&H - I have only recently heard of but there is a lot of excitement about the model.

Andrew

P.S Van Grinsven are advertising the model on their website....

@ Andrew Smile, yes, I'll tell you where the Van Grinsven started with me. Just after I got into this hobby(addiction?) about 4-5 years ago, I stumbled on a website called Ditzj.de(I think I've spelt it right) and saw a picture of a VG Scania and it was love at first sight!.

So needless to say when I saw the news that WSI were releasing a model it was a dream come true for me and the model version is even better because it's the R series which is my favourite truck of all.

However, it's almost a year since the model was announced and it was originally due out back in February so to see it released, but not in the UK yet, is killing me!!.

AHH! I see Smile
So definitely in the 'it looks great' category for wanting it then. Glad it's not just me.
Why not get it from the Nooteboom shop? I have just looked and if you find it on the Dutch page then choose 'English' from the menu it magically appears. Only 8 Euro shipping too!
http://www.nooteboomgroup.com/shop/en/scalemodels/limited_editions/limited_van_grinsven_4-axle_euro_low-loader_with_scania_8x4_high

That website was correct too - just having a browse through it now. Some great potential there...
Maybe we should send the link to WSI? Whistle

LTM and WSI did a great job! I had the pleasure of a guided tour of K+H earlier this year, and seeing Paul's pictures almost makes me feel like I'm there again. Beautiful model and pictures that do it justice.

Well I didn't expect this one to turn up quite so quickly, but here it is and what a beauty this is! I am now very happy that PCM took this on!

I am not yet conceding defeat in the James Jack versus Kavanagh debate, but I will confess that she don't half look sexy Applause

I have to say that the graphics are very sharp!

And finally with a load

I can only imagine how happy the Irish lads will be now!

Thanks for looking,

Please pass on my regards to Steve. I spoke to him yesterday which is how I ended up with the Kavanagh (I thought it was still a couple of weeks away!).

I am hoping there might be another model turn up by the end of the week and possibly some more next week Pray After that, I am out of the country again for 2 weeks Sad

Have a good time with yer man Homer at the show!
