Bus of the TNL company ( Transports de Nice et du Littoral - Nice area - France) modeled in a 1/50 scale by CIJ-Norev. Dinky Toys produced in the sixties a slightly more "toyish" version - you could open all doors by pushing down its front suspension - in both Paris and Lyons transport companies liveries: Berliet PCM-U444 4x2/2 city bus (modified CIJ-Norev model). Guy: The colors of the Corgi KW go well with the blue of the Gradall. that Corgi came from the Jack Daniels livery I think. Anyway, if you want to make the KW into a Day cab, it is very easy. There is a full window on the back of the cab and the sleeper comes off with just one screw removed. That way, the KW is longer and you can add a lift(tag) axle to it, along with headache rack, electrical lines, hydraulics, and a tool box. I did mine that way, and what a great looking heavy hauler it is. Craig

Craig, I think that the Kenworth used for the combination above was rhe 3-axle Guinness tractor unit. I have in addition two 4-axle Kenworth trucks made from 3-axle units with sleeping box: one fitted with a 2nd single-axle and a dual-tyred 2nd axle unit. Both were fitted with a long wheelbase and large sleeping box, as Corgi produced 2 types of boxes on their Kenworths (a long and a short one): I hope it helps. Guy

Craig,
Both goosenecks shown on above pictures are A. Smith Trail King lowloaders kits (a 3+1-axle and a 3+3+3-axle units) which have been waiting for a coat of paint for many years now.

Guy the Corgi Kenworths look real nice, do you have any with the sleeper taken off? That seems like it would make a nice heavy hauler with a day cab like Craig was speaking of. The red Kenworth looks good with the A Smith set up, is that the trailer you are going to keep on top of the Kenworth or do you have a tractor with a longer frame, and for God sake will you please paint the A Smith. Thanks Steve

Steve,
I have no Corgi Kenworth with the sleeping box removed. I plan to paint the Trail King 3+3+3 unit one of these days, once I have proceeded to the modification of the jeep dolly short gooseneck, so that it can fit the 3-axle lowboy when running empty, with its front jeep dolly + long gooseneck assembly and rear stinger on-board, as for the real unit.

Guy thanks for the response , I will look forward to see that Trail King 3+3+3 in its finished state, see if you can get Jean-Francois to put working hydraulics on the gooseneck. 👍👍 Thanks Steve

Steve,
Many thanks for your comments. I've never seen Jean-Francois building tanks from styrene and I know that he prefers welding brass or gluing plastic, so I suspect the water tank to be 100% one of these. I'll check with him and come back to you on this.
I hope it helps. Guy
