I hope it helps. Guy

During almost 20 years, the Colonel Khadafi had the world largest irrigation network built in Libya: the Great Man-Made River Project (or GMMR Project). Approx. 2000 kilometres of buried network were built between 1984 and 1994, additional 1500kms were laid in 1990-1996, followed by a third phase during the period 2002-2005. The largest concrete pipe elements (7.3 metres long and 4m in diameter) were carried on network construction sites by several hundreds of MAN/Schmitz heavy haulage combinations: MAN 40-440 DFA 6x4/2 tractor (modified Conrad model) and Schmitz-Cargobull 2-line low bed semi-trailer with a 1-line front dolly (Conrad model) loaded with an Al Nahr Co water network concrete pipe element of 73 tonnes (homemade load) To be continued. Guy great pictures of the project, and of your customized models of it. Your homemade pipe matches up very well with the real thing. Thanks Steve

Guy the yellow tractor and Lowbed with the Liebherr track loader, is the tractor a Renault? Do you have any pictures of the 1/1 Renault with a single or tandem axle in heavy duty action. The Volvo is also very good looking, not a favorite of the forum but I I ran those VNL’s and VHD’s and had nothing but good luck with them. Steve

GuyM wrote:[...] [...] That truck is a Renault CBH in 3-axle tractor version. It sold very well, not only in France, but in Third World countries as well (Africa, Middle- and Far-East...), as it was very robust and could be overloaded. A few other pictures of the Renault VI CBH-CLM range, which was mainly sold as a heavy duty vehicle.: https://www.fondationberliet.org/ressources-documentaires/galerie/gamme-c-cbh-clm-rvi-chantier/I hope it helps. Guy thanks for the link to the Renault’s, great pictures and they do look very heavy duty. The truck has a nice look to it especially in that yellow color. Thanks Steve

Jean-Francois did this Volvo/Filliat combination using a Corgi tractor and a Minitrucks kit semi-trailer: As for most of his fabrications, he completely rebuilt the kit, except for the tank itself. Plenty of details were added, such as opening manholes, tool box, folding safety railing...: To be continued. Guy
