Very awesome model. I would probably keep mine in that pose without the boom on since I am out of room for crawlers now. How is the quality of everything with the model now?

Sarens CC 2800-1:

This is a nice model with some great opportunities for different configurations. There are a lot of nice details and so far, it has gone together quite well. All pulleys sets bar one have been free and move easily. Handrails The tools provided are good as is the manual. I also really like the collectors book that came with it.

But there are also some issues. Struts for the derrick and main boom do not fold down correctly for transport. Derrick boom section has the red and white stripes which should have been on the main boom. Hydraulic cyclinders for the A frame are far too small and therefore non-functional. There is a bar behind the drum for the A frame rope that is designed to keep the rope away from the engine when the A frame is folded right down. This bar is too high. I think with a little more attention to detail, these issues did not need to happen.

With all that said, it is a great model that does look real nice when set up for a heavy lift, as this will be.

Nice pics Paul, it's been a while! I would like a CC2800 in the future, hopefully they make an Aertssen version.

That has turned really well I think. Seem to have improved on the AC700's.
