In the new forums, you are no longer able to enter HTML in a message. This prevents anyone from posting malicious scripts which could load viruses onto your computer.

However, this does not mean that you can't post photos or links to other web pages. Just follow the instructions below.

Posting A Photo

To post a photo, click on the icon above the message edit box which has an image of a mountain range:



Clicking this button will place an opening and closing image tag in your message wherever your cursor is. To link to the image, simply type the URL of the image between the opening and closing image tags.

Posting A Link

To post a link, click on the icon above the message edit box which has an of a globe and chain link:



Clicking this button will display a dialog box into which you enter the URL of your link. When you click OK, your will then be prompted for a description. The description will be displayed as the link in your message. If you want the URL to be displayed, simply put it in both the URL and Description fields. When you click OK on the description dialog, the link will be placed in your message wherever your cursor is.

If you highlight text (or a image link) before you click on the link button, you will not be prompted for a description. Whatever is highlighted will be used as the description.
