A I Nikolis wrote:Nice!! Waiting to see it in action Indeed, that counterweight tray configuration is one that I've never ever seen before on a TC 2800. It can be used on CC 8800 though. It seems as that extendable tray radius cylinder is something new for the TC 2800. Any ideas about that Gaz? There's what looks like an extending ram to go on the Port Services TC2800 crane in my thread. I have a picture of it sitting on one of the truck and trailers. I'll pop over and post the picture on my last post from today.

Due to some tragic circumstances (link below) the TC is no longer heading to Harwich port, job has been delayed until HSE etc can find out want when wrong and make sure something like that never happens again. A good friend of mine was on site when it happened and is quite upset about it, nobody should lose there life just for a days work, my thoughts go to who he left behind. http://www.vertikal.net/en/news/story/10145/Sad

Theres a real mix of emotions, on one hand im delighted that Gaz is back posting again, so there for so am i, im really very pleased that Ainscough seem to have a new millenium lifter again as well as a Terex brother too boot, and we know we still have a VERY heavy crawler to come and a few very VERY heavy mobiles too, but on the other hand, its horrible to hear about the accident at the docks, and for that it has unfortunatly put a dullness over everything. My thoughts to the family of the gentleman who has passed, but also my congratulation to an ever expanding Aiscough HEAVY lefit division!

Very sad about that accident!! It's something you can't imagine will happen at a well used site like that one thorleif wrote:There's what looks like an extending ram to go on the Port Services TC2800 crane in my thread. Maybe more current TC 2800 owners will buy this variable counterweight radius thing later.

Fantastic I wonder what the very big crawler crane is??? Anyway the stinger (thing at the back of the superstructure) has been an option for years. I saw one on a CC 2800-1 from Franz Bracht back in 2005 orso. Haven't seen it on a TC yet though. Anyone has a complete list of the big cranes running around in the UK at the moment? Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.
