Both series of the model are sold out. This last series one model became available a couple months ago on the front page of DHS. Here are some closeup photos.     Here is a closeup comparison of the original Bucyrus bucket with a Norscot 785D haul truck.  785D and the CQMS Hurricane bucket.  Top view.  Here's the model with the lights on.  Farther view of the lights, this time using the camera's white color correction.  And another.  That's it for the photos. I hope you guys like them. Man, what a centerpiece for a diorama!  Do both buckets come with the model?

Man that sucks I wish i saw it, ive been away for awhile and missed out, what is operational? Does the pads drop as if it was in a crawl, does the boom go up and down, are there doors that open, can you operate the drag line bucket? How do the light turn on (is it battery operated, or wall outlet).

The series one only came with the Bucyrus bucket, whereas the series 2 could be ordered with either the original, the red Esco, or the green CQMS bucket. Boom does not raise or lower as walking draglines do not raise or lower their boom during normal operation, and the shoes cannot move. The lights are powered by 3 AA batteries that are inside the house. The switch to turn the lights on is hidden inside the transformer on the right side of the machine. -Alex

How many models where made for the first and 2nd series?

That is a magnificent model and one to be very proud of. Had I the space to display it I would have had one, but alas it was not to be  Excellent photos and thanks for taking the time to do this. Paul R

Wow, that thing is amazing all lit up. What would be perfect is a few doors open, where you can see it lit up inside.

 If you haven't seen one of these fantastic model's up close and personal,here's a picture of my mate Norman standing next to his,that is an Athearn 1/50th scale John Deere sitting in front of it,he's about 5 foot 9 inchs tall,   Regards Joe.

That John Deere looks like the right size to customize as a trailing cable handler for the dragline ;). That actually reminds me, I need to find some black wire to serve as the trailing cable since the model is without one.

A member who does not post here a lot has done a beautiful job on an NZG 988B and turned it into a cable reeler and it now sits with an 8750 model, you really do have to see one of these in person to appreciate it and the collectors who i saw also had a Big Muskie so that was a great treat to catch them both.

Would be nice to see.I have seen Old Glory having a converted Cat log skidder used for this, but perhaps not anymore. Chris
