Ok I have added more platforms and have finished most of the handrailsd'oh! what a beating those are to do.
Here are some pics

Looking down from the top

I stuck my Rt130 in so you can see the size of this column

I am thinking I need to add one more platform near the top to line up the ladders the way I want them to go, hopefully get to that tonight, I know the wife is getting a nice honey-do list together for meSad
sorry for pic quality, but it is faster for me to take with the phone

Ok got all the handrails complete last night and I started doing the ladders, well I ran out of them so it is off to the hobby store and hope they have some in stock

Ok here is a look at the whole column

and here are a few close ups

It is starting to come together, we are just about ready to install all of the piping and ports, then it is complete, then I have to build the saddles.

Hey guy,

Another beautiful job, I need to get some pics of the piece you made for me up soon, got it on a trailer now.

Man, I would sure hate to have to go up all of those ladders, when I worked an one mine we had a 165 foot concrete storage silo which I had to ascend frequently. Anything over three stories ought to have an elevator or something.

That is stunning mate. I'm assuming that this is going to be put into someones lift dio because I think most people would be pretty hard pressed to find a trailer to transport this beast!

Yes this will be a lift dio piece But I am also doing transport saddles for it. I think the customer purchased a few sets of SPMTs to transport this beast.
I bought more ladders last night but fell asleep and did not work last night. I had to help my dad more stuff down stairs at their house my mom had a knee replacement and is coming home today.
I will probably get more done tonight we have no big plans

Ok got all the ladders installed and started adding the small details. All the ports have been added aswell. next is to add the piping and make the custom saddles for this to ride on.

This is going to be sweet once the paint is on it

Ok the customer wanted me to make a set up fot this crane to be lifted, so I made some custom spreader bars and some lifting cables. The main cables are 3 feet long, i did not make the these got them somewhere. Here are some pics of the setup in action with the LR1750, the only large crane I have avaiable.
again the pics were taken with the camera phone so they are not the best quality

spreader bars

I just about have the saddles complete, and I have alittle detail work to do on the column and this project will be headed out across the pond

lying down in transport mode

I stuck a figure on top

Now all I have to do is box this up and have about a week of sleepless nights til it arrives in England in one piece.
Hope you enjoyed this project, the biggest I have done, it was some challenge
