Hi Paul, It was a good show, and yes a bigger venue would be better, I think the next show will be, I know Dave is looking for somewhere larger, as for names to faces, well there is a good shot of me with my back to the camera on the right hand side (some say my best side ) next to my Mammoet LTM11200 and the Sarens LTM1800. Steve.

Steve. Ha, ha!. Yeh, I know the feeling.... Does anybody know how many people came through the doors and was there an entry fee?. The Econofreight is a blast from the past and looks superb.

Judging by all the ideas for Dio's we seem to have, you'll need to book the Birmingham NEC for the next one....

Great show lads, like the GCSJ airproducts diorama. Jazzdrummer27 wrote:Judging by all the ideas for Dio's we seem to have, you'll need to book the Birmingham NEC for the next one....
Tim I know the motorcycle museum round the corner from the NEC has quite a large hall and there have been model shows there in the past Heavy Cranes

Congratulations to our UK members on putting on a great show, I can only imagine the amount of work involved in putting on a show like this.. Not only the organising of it, but for each of the individual collectors who took time to set up their displays,, a really great job. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing another show next year?? Maybe it will inspire us Aussies to do something like this one day!!!! Regards from down under Peter

The infamous and elusive Hendrickson 'Hulk', most beautiful special Heavy Haulage truck ever. Is this the Himobo model? I hope to get that myself someday!! DWW's pipeline dio is fantastic as well, although it's a pity he used the Joal Cat pipelayers. They look very 'toyish' compared to te other models on display. Although if you need a bunch of sidebooms this a better alternative than the more expensive Caterpillar (Norscot) or Liebherr (NZG & Conrad) models. Looks like a fu show as well. With more typical UK style models, which differ a lot from mainland Europe trucks (besides the steering wheel which is on the wrong side of course... ). Perhaps I'll try to go next year.

I got all 5 off my Joal side booms for half the price of the Motorart Volvo which is supossed to be a better model and not a TOY and this think does not even have a working winch nor do the tracks come of the transport it . Now the Joals have working winchs its a shame about the tracks but this is now an old model [well over twenty years old] Davids Heavy transport photos.
