Guys, I spotted this driving by and figured I grab a couple of shots of it. I already know from this thread that it's an LTM1200, but what I don't know is an LTM1200-?. Christian, Crane op, anyone that can answer this would be great. Thanks
Rob

its not in a dolly,im assuming these pictures are from the States. My guess is its the LTM 1100-5.2 ./the top slab dosent look right for the LTM-1200 i know the LTM 1160 requires a dolly here , its unusaul to see any thing over 140 tonne capacity around these parts trucking down the road without a dolly,or the boom removed. the newer stuff is much lighter to accomodate most countries over all weight restrictions, i'll bet Crane op, and Christian a beverage of their chosing if im wrong

This is actually the 3rd time I've seen this crane, Lil' Danny and all of the other Jersey guys will say the same as I will that this honestly is not an unusual site here. Monday I saw an older 4 axle Krupp with "OVERSIZE LOAD" signs on it along with orange beacons going down the road with no escort. I've seen some rather large cranes traveling the road I just never have my camera with me, I just happen to be visiting a local construction site and I saw this guy driving by and I thought that I may as well snap a couple of pictures.

If he was close to home then they may have just said "screw it" and left the dolly at home. Our GMK-6350 will travel without dolly around San Francisco and the surrounding area, Same goes for the LTM-1160/2. But if it's anywhere out of the city then it's dolly time!!

we have moved our stuff without the dolly,or the boom in .Depends on the site and what your doin . but hey whats a little wager amongst friends we moved the Ac650 with the boom in ,under the cover of dark ,after 12:00 am when all the bars are closeing so the cops are distracted,on a Saturday night, now they have caught up to our little indicretions,we need stickers, permits, and police escorts , amber flashing lights and a big chunk of iron rollin down the road arent enough warning to keep people in four wheelers away we gotta have the Cops.

A giant crane runnin 55 down the freeway with boom out back on a dolly isn't enough for people to understand "don't cut off" or "hey look i'm a few hundreds of tons.. mess with me your dead" Or when I would pilot R.T. Cranes through the streets of san fran' If the op was making a right turn I would have to block people from trying to pass him or turn infront of him. He couldn't see out the right side so he wouldn't even know if he ran someone over... Talk about gettin' in good with the City of S/F!! How many other places do you know that will let you drive a giant Link belt RT through the streets of a major city during any time of the day???
