 That load looks really good.Are those darker grey bits for mounting,(final placing/installation)or lifting/transport?Looks,to me,like the weight can rest,on them.

modelmaniac, The 4 grey supports were used during the last 20 miles of the transformer trip (Sutton Bridge harbor to Bicker Fen substation site) managed in UK by ALE, with the load resting via these on their 2x11-line girders trailer:  See also: https://www.spaldingtoday.co.uk/news/massive-transformer-on-our-roads-this-morning-9085957/Above picture from P. Citroën "Belphégor" light truck in progress by Jean-Jacques, by fitting a resin cab on an ex-Corgi dropside chassis:   Renault "Fainéant" 4x4 tipper in progress ("Fainéant" means "Lazy Boy" in French, a nickname widely used for this Renault truck fitted with an under-floor engine, in recognition to its poor road performance), being made from various Minitrucks bits and pieces:   Regards. Sammler-Mamfredo, The heavy truck was made by Jean-Jacques from a SAVIEM modified Minitrucks kit base. I don't think that it ever existed in STAG's fleet. Haulage by Mammoet sub-contractors of lattice crawler crane parts (models modifications in progress):   - left: DAF FX 105-FTT510 6x4/2 tractor (modified WSI model) and Kaiser BDAH 3XX flatbed 3-axle semi-trailer (modified Joal chassis, to be painted) loaded with 3 counterweight slabs for Liebherr LR 1750 SDBW lattice crawler crane of 12.5 tonnes each and the head element of its main lattice boom (Conrad elements), - right: Mercedes-Benz Actros 3353S 6x4/2 tractor (Conrad model being modified) and Nooteboom MCO 121-08V 8-axle extendible low bed semi-trailer (Tematoys model being modified), equipped with a 10ft workshop container (WSI element) and loaded with 6 Superlift rear derrick slabs of 12.5 tonnes each and a main lattice boom element (Conrad elements). Once, I am going to derogate to the title of this topic in presenting some models from Steve, an American fellow collector, regularly sending me pictures of his - typically American - modifications. "Exkvate3140", that's the member's "name" he chose, has gone away for some time now, following some "verbal" escalation in this forum. Let's hope that this will help to have him back soon here(*): - A tipping combination with a Mack F700 of IMC/WSI origin:   - An ex-Conrad Freightliner, equipped with an extra-long wheelbase:   Note (*): I didn't ask him permission to post these pictures. - Two Fire Replicas vintage Mack trucks, towing Conrad tipping semi-trailers:  - a Mack DM 800 (Fire Replicas) and a 4-axle lowboy with its 2-axle jeep dolly:  - I didn't know that resin-made Fire Replicas models were 100% static. Yes Guy, Steve is a very cool operator. Having been a site developer for many years, he has seen all types of heavy equipment. After a horrible accident on the job, he is confined to the modeling end of it now. He can sometimes sit in a loader, but with extreme pain. He is actually quite good at customizing. His 3D printer skills can make some excellent parts. I have many of his pieces for trucks and equipment. He can't paint worth a hoot though!! Steve is more than happy to help out a fellow collector. I always hear him say that "He's never throwing out any model. He will take them to his grave". CAW

He sent me an e.mail yesterday indicating that posting pictures of his customized models was OK; no mention of any date for him to come back to this forum, though. Keep in touch. Guy
