I like these new Bburago tractors. I just have the MF, but am tempted by the Fendt as well. The implements look a bit too plasticky but the tractors have metal bonnets and are pretty detailed - better than the equivalent Sikus. Here's my MF with a few mods 1:50 Burago Massey Ferguson 8740S tractor by ****llection, on Flickr"/>

Plenty of detail like grab rails, mirrors and lights. I've painted the wheels silver and roughed up the tyre treads. I will add a green tint to the cab glass."I agree with you: these Bburago tractors are pretty well modeled for the price. I bought each set in Italy for less than 15 Euros (trailer included, mainly plastic in most cases). For an unknown reason, trailers were equipped with a sort of gooseneck allowing them to be hooked high onto tractors. I have modified all of them (both tractors and trailers) to have a lower towing point, so I can now hook any Bburago unit with any Siku 1/50 farming models. Bburago have also produced 4x4 New Holland and Valtra tractors, both in a 1/50 scale: apparently, these are getting difficult to find these days. I hope this helps. Guy

2 wreckers equipped with a Berliet engine and a Beaufrere cab on a Mack NM2 chassis will be assigned to the Paris BSPP ( Brigade de Sapeurs- Pompiers de Paris, which could be translated by Paris Fire Brigade). With its 12 tonnes maximum capacity, the CAFL-Pinguely Tractem 850 crane offers an important range and lifting height, combined to a road-going compactness. 2 Rollers at rear enable the vehicle to be moved forward under load: Regards. Wildpig234, 4 conventional outriggers with manual screwing mechanism were fitted on the real Mack/Beaufrere wrecker (2 at front and 2 rear of the tandem -see picture below). If they have been replicated on the 1/50 Minitrucks kit, I suppose that they are not working (front outriggers don't go across the model, only both ends have been modeled): Regards. Guy

In the same period, Scoop got Volvo rights to produce some of their models in a 1/50 scale - pretty well modeled, to my own opinion. Has this copyright gone later to Motorart? Joal? Cararama? Wildpig1234,
I shall modify a WSI/Sword Peterbilt 379 8x4 tractor I have (the only mods being the replacement of the dual-tired 2nd axle by a lifting single-tire unit) and get it towing a 45.36 tonnes capacity Globe Trailers GTBN503-53-26-CG 3-axle lowboy (to be made from a modified Joal unit): as the Bell dumper B30E "only" weights empty 42.48 tonnes, that should be OK.
I hope it helps. Guy

Above message should include "the only mods being the replacement of the dual-tire 2nd axle by a lifting single-tire unit" instead of "the only mods being the replacement of the dual-tired 2nd axle by a lifting single-tire unit". Sorry for the" tired" 2nd axle!
