I will try to ask the operator about the LTM boom for this crane. Yes Christian I am aware about the newer style LG coming out. just a cool crane anyways so I will probably get one anyways.
So this is the only LG in america that just makes this a better findTeeth I hope to get down there later today but for sure tomorrow.

The CC6800 is on hold until I finish a couple of orders. I just got back from vacation for 2 weeks so I am behind from that. Then hopefully I will get back on the crane unless I get more orders

known to me in North America: Northern Cranes in Canada has one (see my signature *sigh*)

Phillipps in Houston had a LTM1800

Does Anthony, now Maxim, really own the telescopic boom for this? (please ask the operator!)

I remember a long time ago I saw a picture of a mall that said "Anthony brought in the biggest crane in the world" it was a LTM-1800 with luffer. I'm not sure if they still own it or not.. Maybe i'm just crazy.

Maxim does list conventionals up to 1000tons. If im wrong the LTM-1800 can be a 1000ton crane.

I have a single picture of the a blue and white 'Anthony' LTM-1800. The pictures is from May of 1997 and the author is unknown. Maximum boom with lattice extension (not fixed/luffing jib). If I remember they were picking AC unit on a shopping center in Phoenix. Obviously this is prior to Anthony Crane becoming Maxim. Ray Anthony is really an crane type of person, as after his non compete expired, he went back into business as 'Ray Anthony Int'l Crane Rental'. I would imagine despite his non compete, he stayed very profitable and active in 'AVS'. AVS is 'Anthony Van Seumeren'. Last I knew they owned a Manitowoc 21000 as well as some other smaller cranes. Again this is conjecture, but I would have to say that was Van Seumeren's entry in to the US. Now lets see if I can get that picture posted......

no need to compare, the Anthony is definately the Maxim machine. beyond any doubt.

as for the Philipps, the kranliste lists a LG1550 for them, but not a LTM1800. that can mean a lot, maybe they sold the tele boom and kept the base machine with a lattice system

gotta ask Mr. "LTM1800-LG1550" next time i talk to him

Reason I say so is I saw a picture on a german fourm of the Phillips at what looks like Liebherr for overhaul / repaint and a ship out somewhere. IT wasn't Cranelist, not sure where I saw that now that i think about it..

So this Maxim crane is a LTm1800 also? I think I might be confusing my self. If so I am going to try to ask where they are keeping the boom at.

The LG-1550 and LTM-1550 are the same crane the only difference between the two is the Lattice boom and Hydraulic boom. Many companies own a LG and can interchange between the Lattice boom and hydraulic boom.

Just to clarify...

Anthony Crane's Liebherr LG/LTM 11000, a truck crane marketed with a 1,000-ton capacity was delivered to the states in the late 90's with both hydraulic/telescopic boom and the typical LG arrangement. After working sucessfully (in the LG configuration) on it's first jobs in Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Kentucky - the crane was scheduled to work on four consecutive high profile jobs as a LTM 11000. From the start, there were a series of disappointing hydraulic and pinning problems with the telescopic boom on it's first few jobs. After several months of troubleshooting and ineffective "patch" repairs by Liebherr's North American dealer at the time (Schiller Services), Anthony decided to send back the telescopic boom to Germany for good. Samson is now strictly an LG 1550.

By the way - speaking of Anthony....

Ray Anthony just took delivery of a new 2008 Demag AC700 back in early June. The first two jobs for it were in Florida with longer term powerplant work scheduled in Texas. This is only the second AC700 here in the U.S. - the first being Hallamore's which was later sold to TNT out of Houston, TX.
