Will be a C-175 12 in the 785,789 & 994 for the future, 16 in the 93 and 20 in the 95 & 97. Thanks for clearing that up Gav. Thought they might have left the C175 for the 793F - AC's first. Ross

I wonder if it were anywhere feasible to run the exhaust under the deck and then up along side the rops on either side of the cab.....with some decent redesigning required....dumb idea or good?

I really don't know how that'd work out - I like them where they are on the D11N and D11R, I've got ample room to get out and stand on the hood, and truth be told, I'm so used to the "normal" location that seeing them right against the cab just bugs the hell out of me.

Yeah .... For a big dozer they can be very tight inside. On a 10T they could flatten the pipe's and sort of. Run them under the cab and exit under the tank but it's dodgy with the operator sitting above in an enclosed Cab. Thing's like the fan drive pump in the way. And remeber the exhaust pipe's are pretty big even on a 10T. CAT Designers have probably brain stormed the idea But they would have to re design quite a bit of the tractor to do this. Ross

Nice photos Tim. Glad you still have time to post with the recent "attack" on the forum.

Is that a 793F in your Avatar-picture? No The D11T has a few improvement's over the 11R especially the side frame like 3 bolt roller cap's and a Hump kit from the factory But, Gone has the lazy HP 3508 and in with the pushed C32. Ross

That's probably a 795 in Rossco's avatar.
The 793F looks pretty sharp. Just looking at the picture it looks like it has better visibility than the previous 793's, but without sitting in the seat, I can't tell for sure.

I've heard there are some field-follow test units going in out West, possibly some in Peabody mines. I know a guy who works out there that may be able to get me some photos. - Alex
