Next week I will start doing the scaling up of the cool Euclid Heavy Haul Lowboy rig. I'll keep everyone posted when I get the drawings ready to go for another very Cool one of a kind Model Project.

I find it fascinating that the main stumbling block with the big rigs is finding proper sized wheels. The RC shops always have a wide selection of rubber, but I guess they have the wrong tread patterns...

I have been working on the drawings scaling them up to the tire sizes I will be using . It now looks like the whole Euclid Heavy Haul rig will be over 8 feet long. As soon as I get the first drawing completed on my workbench , I'll post a picture of it. Going to have 48 tires.

Here is the first step in me starting the monster Euclid Heavy Haul Lowboy rig that will be over 8 feet long. You can see I have all the info ready to get started building the tractor. The dart parts are all primed now and ready for paint this weekend.

I went back & looked at this thread again because of the update & saw that someone else believes this is the old trailer that used to sit along 287 in Middlesex , NJ at the Hoffman Equipment place. It used to have a Mack hooked to it & was listed as the largest unit in the world when built. It disappeard about 20 or 25 years ago & I always wondered what happened to it. I wonder where the Mack off road tractor went.I believe the tractor was either a M75SX or a M651. Bob

I now have the main frame rails bent and welded together and the rear axles and duels bolted on. Now I am starting to build the front steering axle.

EUCLID UPDATE- Today I got the cab bolted to the frame and the rear tank built and bolted to the frame and the fenders completed and attached to the main truck frame. Also the left side ladder is now built and mounted. I jsut started the first left side air cleaner . Tomorrow I will get to work on the front radiator housing and engine hood and should get it done by tomorrow night. By Friday night I should have enough details on it to post the first picture .

This latest picture shows the sanded and primed R-62 truck with the fifth wheel hitch bolted to the rear frame. I am working on the wheel centers now as the ones in this picture are not the ones for it. I am now officially starting the first dolly. Half scale Cat 10 progress I got more of the radiator built on Sat.
