Well at long last the parts arrived from Germany so I finally get to finish off this beast! Just the hook block left to do, i'll post a few pics of a tandem lift with his brother the LG when the whole thing is complete and I find a suitable load! Sorry about the poor quality pics... Thanks for looking, Noel.

Noel,
That is beautiful! I have the LG I am working on right now and hope to have something to show in a couple weeks. I think the Conrad updated pendant lines are a huge improvement over past offerings, and I am pretty impressed so far.
Thanks for the great post!

Thanks lads for all the comments!
Paul did you check if the pins are in your box for connecting the pendants in case you ever need them because I was told that conrad forgot to put them in all the felbermayr LR's due to the different system being used on this version? (Their B9 and B10 pins according to the LG manual).

Noel. I have not. In fact the boxes are still sealed and in the attic! I have primed one set of pendants and one set of walkways. Waiting for the paint to turn up so I can do the blue. When it does, I'll paint them and then fit them Paul R

I was never a huge fan of the LG/LR17 models, but this livery really sets them off! Very nice group! - Chris

Gaz Gaz, i'd highly recommend using a cordless drill/driver if you have one.. it sure saved my fingers an awful lot of hardship! The reeving part is great fun, I ended up having to do the A-frame twice! Noel.

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Paul,
You not tempted to keep one on a small rig, maybe a short - heavy lift boom and then tower the other one high useing the left over sections? Wonder if conrad will do the extentions for these 2 models.

Gaz It has crossed my mind to do this. I would dearly like to have the reduction piece found on the SLH version so I could have a single main boom. Conrad have done LG/LR extensions in standard yellow but I have found several suppliers say that this are no longer available. I would love to buy several extensions and then have them set up in different configurations: 1. Full monty - main boom and luffer and derrick maxed out Not sure I can afford all the extension sets needed for this 2. Main heavy boom and derrick (but special unique derrick that has extra 10,5m section ) 3. Single main boom with reduction piece, offset fixed jib and extended CW tray (SLH model) 4. ?? *EDIT* There is a flaw to my plan - there are no 7m sections for the main boom or jib So it is not possible to make a correct maximum configuration. And yes I do have 4 models to do this with Paul R
