September - awesome. Doubt they'd let a passer-by anywhere near the crane but I'll see what I can do...between now and September. Going there this afternoon to see the lie of the land!

HI Guys,

Well I went to Methil and did some recon (and arguably some "minor" trespassing) to get some half decent photos of the two cranes. I started out in what seems to be the exact same spot at which Joe stood to take his photos, but quickly grew dissatisfied and ventured "around" to see if I could get a better vantage point. And I did. Teeth I was sorely SORELY tempted to walk right over to the cranes (they were but a few hundred yards in front of me) but I decided against it...this time, at least Whistle

I significantly downsized the images to share on this forum. Here's the last pic, my favourite, original size (15 megapixels, JPEG 2.3 MB):

Thanks guys Teeth

I plan to go again soon - does anybody know when one of the planned lifts will actually be happening?

Will definitely get closer next time.

As far as I am led to believe the next lift is 07-06-2010
