Both series of the model are sold out. This last series one model became available a couple months ago on the front page of DHS. Here are some closeup photos. Here is a closeup comparison of the original Bucyrus bucket with a Norscot 785D haul truck. 785D and the CQMS Hurricane bucket. Top view. Here's the model with the lights on. Farther view of the lights, this time using the camera's white color correction. And another. That's it for the photos. I hope you guys like them. Man that sucks I wish i saw it, ive been away for awhile and missed out, what is operational? Does the pads drop as if it was in a crawl, does the boom go up and down, are there doors that open, can you operate the drag line bucket? How do the light turn on (is it battery operated, or wall outlet).
Live it up!

The series one only came with the Bucyrus bucket, whereas the series 2 could be ordered with either the original, the red Esco, or the green CQMS bucket. All 3 buckets can be ordered separately, but do not come with a complete set of rigging. I ordered the last CQMS bucket DHS had in stock 2 days after the open house. I plan to drill out the rivets of the rigging and replace with brass hex-head bolts so that I can switch to the CQMS bucket. paradise concepts wrote:Man that sucks I wish i saw it, ive been away for awhile and missed out, what is operational? How do the light turn on (is it battery operated, or wall outlet). The keys operate the drag and hoist functions to move the dragline bucket. Boom does not raise or lower as walking draglines do not raise or lower their boom during normal operation, and the shoes cannot move. The lights are powered by 3 AA batteries that are inside the house. The switch to turn the lights on is hidden inside the transformer on the right side of the machine. -Alex

Gentlemen, From the TWH webstie: "Although the project’s economics were established on a 100 piece run, I am willing to close out the project with only 25 more units in order to enhance the collectibility of the first 48 piece run and this additional 25 piece run." This must be the best commercially produced 1:50 scale mining model ever made! Fantastic!

Wow, that thing is amazing all lit up. What would be perfect is a few doors open, where you can see it lit up inside.

That John Deere looks like the right size to customize as a trailing cable handler for the dragline ;). That actually reminds me, I need to find some black wire to serve as the trailing cable since the model is without one.

A member who does not post here a lot has done a beautiful job on an NZG 988B and turned it into a cable reeler and it now sits with an 8750 model, you really do have to see one of these in person to appreciate it and the collectors who i saw also had a Big Muskie so that was a great treat to catch them both.

Would be nice to see.I have seen Old Glory having a converted Cat log skidder used for this, but perhaps not anymore. Chris
