Getting things painted. Decals are in the works. Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

Looking solid! Excellent job on the progress. The small access ladder along the cab is a very nice touch. :D

Wow!!! Awesome work. I gotta ask though, will you be making any more to sell?

More to sell...hmmm. LOL. Absolutely not. This model has been the bane of my existence for the last few months. I only had a few pictures to go off of when I first started and did a lot of backtracking as I found more. Just a lot of work in fitting, sanding, refitting, resanding, disassembling to refit and upgrade, and then back to fitting and sanding again. ;)
It's not by any means close to the original, but it's my own updated version of what Prairie Roadbuilders and Brett Engineering has done.

Decals on. Still need to do a few touch ups, add some detail items like lights and counterweight, and then clear coat it, but it's just about ready to be a shelf queen. Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

That is looking sharp. It may have taken a while to get to here but the results are nice.

Hi Dirtboy,
that D57T turned out pretty well! Both thumbs up on your custom - I especially like those details like the wire rope ladder to the cab. I never realized how huge the pan of a 657 is until I saw it here compared to a D10.
Keep it coming! Max

Thanks for all the compliments! It was an interesting project and I'm glad to see it getting close to being done. A lot of the time I sat there scratching my head, wondering if I'd just ruined two good models, but thankfully it all came together for me.
Best of luck in your own projects. Let's keep seeing what others have on the bench as well.
