If you measure the wheel on wsi the od is 21.5 on the drake it's 20.0,same if you measure across the steer from outside to outside, wsi 49.2,drake 46.6,and if you put the models side by side you can see the drake is psychically smaller, just my observation.

favco500 wrote:I have found if you compare a drake truck to WSI or TECKNO,which are supposed to be 1/50th,the drakes come in around 1/55th,scale to scale they don't match, anyone else found this discrepancy. I just measured my T908 Prime Mover, and have to say it's spot on with the dimensions given in the brochure. Bumper to center of frontaxle is 810 mm in real life, and 16.2 mm on the model. Center front axle to rear of the sleeper is 3550 mm in real life, and 71 mm on the model. Exactly correct. However, I understand where you're coming from. Compared to WSI, Tekno or Conrad the TWH truck looks smaller. But that's not because the Kenworth is to small, the other brands are to big. If even by minute percentages. When converting a truck to 1:50th scale, you sometimes need to cheat a bit for practical purposes. A mm extra here, a mm less there, to make it all fit. Just my two cents.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of HHA's units produced.

Might find the HHA unit may be a little hard to get all the Bling detailed in.
