Alberta Millwright wrote:Be sure to take pictures beside an lR-1600/2 when you are all finished so we can visually see the difference between the two. I want to know what an extra $300.00 dollars really gets you, so far I see a ton of plastic parts. I have finally been able to see these pictures on the big screen and have to agree that there is quite a lot of plastic. But no more so than usual for Conrad? Pendants, pins, bridles, walkways and platforms on the crawler frame(?) and also it looks like the retainers for the walkways are plastic? I'm not sold on it yet and would find it difficult to believe that it would equal, much less surpass the LR 1600/2 from NZG. I'll hold out for the Felbermayr LR1600/2 before getting one of these But to be give Conrad some credit it is nice to see that they are making some improvements by adding details such as the walkways. On a side note, that CW tray for the superlift seems to be mounted very high. I am not sure if this is due to a lack of parts, incorrect assembly or by choice? Paul R

I will repeat again for those who not read above. Model made totally from metall and only pendant lines like usual for Conrad from plastic. Tray is high because 2 hydraulic cylinders is missing, Conrad forget to put them in box. So waiting for them now.

YCC will have do an update with a set screw.

Yea from the photos I've seen, the walkways look to be metal to me. Honestly, I'd take one of these over a wsi built version (if they made one) Still glued to my window waiting for the ups man to come with mine.....

KVG123, Can you please tell me if the main boom can be configured without the luffing jib? I am wondering if the SH_1, LH_1, SSL_1 and other configurations are possible? Conrad state: "fully customisable main mast, derrick mast and luffing jib...." so I am thinking it should be. I am thinking that a configuration like this would look great: © HansebubeThank you, Paul R

It looks like the red tip on the main boom comes off and the section it attaches to is a reducer, like the lr1600, so I'm sure you can add the jib sections on it

I'll probably get the standard CC3800 but it's a shame Conrad didn't offer it in a standard configuration with the luffing jib optional(keeping the price for the crane more reasonable).
I dread to think what the liveried versions will cost!.

I dread to think what the liveried versions will cost!. As incredible as it sounds, the one website I have looked at is selling the Baumann version €10 cheaper than the factory version! Another is selling them at the same price. Paul R
