Alright everyone here's the deal.. Tomorrow we are lowering the first of two FDNY trucks into the Memorial..Tomorrow the ladder truck goes in. Check it out on the webcam if possible.. Thurs. is the smaller engine truck..It's gonna be interesting for sure. Today we set the ambulance down in the Memorial. I have more to write but No time..More info to follow, it's a real Honor to be part of this project...Cool

Great pictures! I love that LTM1350, must be the biggest LTM series with a single main cylinder? Will be a nice die cast crane, I hope to see this livery and Digging and Rigging too. I hope WSI doesn't MISS THE US MARKET COMPLETELY LIKE NZG DID WITH THE 11200s. The freedom tower is looking great by the way.

O.K., just finished ny time sheets for the day. Ladder 3 will be getting an escort from Hangar 17 EARLY tomorrow morning by the New Ladder 3 to the WTC Memorial site. Late in the morning, I and my crew will lift ladder 3 in a special lifting brace, we call a "raft". The truck will be lifted by Bay's Brand new 1350 horiz. and than lowered into the hole Vertically. The truck will than be returned to it's horizontal posistion, as it is lowered into the Memorial. The raft is designed, so No tailing crane is required to rotate from Horiz. to Vert. The actual picks will be between 11-1 both days as we will be doing this again on Thurs. with the engine truck..We will have family members of these trucks, NY's mayor, as well as a full honor Guard from the FDNY. This includes a flag brigade and their pipe brigade. It is truly a Once in a lifetime experience to be involved in and hopefully will bring understanding and closure to those who will visit the Memorial when it is completed..Hope this helps Jesse Paszkewicz, Project Manager/Rigging Foreman R.Baker & Son Teeth Cool

Thanks for the heads up, Jesse. I took a ride to Hanger 17 at JFK early this morning, got there around 5am. I saw Ladder 3 outside the hanger all wrapped and on its brace. Guess I was a little too early to see it leaving JFK. I did happen to see some pictures from a Facebook friend that was delivering concrete as your crew was making the lift. Thank you to you and your crew and all others who assisted is this effort.
