Here is a picture from today in my shop showing my progress as I got the front and rear dollies roughed in. Now all 46 tires and rims are on axles . You can also see the front curved frame section roughed in and me holding the four rear curved frame pieces. I still have to weld them into I-beams.
I have not started the center of the trailer yet. You can kinda get a idea of the look of the model .

Spot on Don, you've really captured this one! The neck on that trailer is absolutely huge!

Here is a picture from today showing the floor of the lowboy now roughed in . You can see me holding two of the four curved rear frame I-beams. Next weekend it could be all roughed in .

Awsome work. I finally figured out how Don works so fast. Don is FATHER CHRISTMAS and what you don't see are the hundreds of elves behind the camera. LOL. Can't wait to se it finished.

One thing you may not want to do....Watch the market and work on diecast. Diecast is suppose to relax you....while the market stress you. lol Teeth Should turn out pretty good and I really think the models you do turn out great. Can wait to see this one!

Thanks you guys,
I am also excited to see the last section of the lowboy get fabricated and attached to the rear dolly next week. I was surprised yesterday to see the floor of the trailer in place and see it getting longer.
Yes, The stock market is driving me crazy the last two weeks, the model building keeps me grounded, ha,ha.
A couple more weeks we get a new President and our only worries then will be what toys to by next, (:>). ha,ha,ha. Because both candidates seem to have all the answers , yippee ! We can't possibly lose ! (:>).

Now we're talking Don!
Watching the truck take shape has been fun, but now that the trailer is coming on line, it's getting serious!Teeth
Great work as always Don.

Thanks again for the kind words about my model. Sorry i don't spend more time on the computer , or I would sure comment on many of the great posts here. I just seem to want to head to the shop every chance I get. I really do love building the models .
I'm not sure yet of the final weight , should have a good idea by this weekend. I am still adding more steel. Yesterday I got the rear curved I-beams welded in place and should finish roughing it in by tonight . It's definately the longest truck model I have ever built. Going to be a very uniqe one of a kind model for sure.

Here is the first picture of the roughed in 600 ton lowboy trailer with both curved I-beam frames in place. Now I am working on the rear dolly assembly and the rear pivot point for the trailer and the rear steering cylinders. I still have more to do on the trailer , but thought you might like seeing it sooner.

Awesome! Absolutely awesome!! The sheer size is just incredible, let alone the effort that has gone into constructing it!
