I've never said anything at all, but I suppose I will put my own 2 cents in since everyone else is, so here goes,
I've met Tim personally a few times, as I am sure others have too, he is a really great guy and answers his questions best to his knowledge-the man is full of knowledge. Is there someone else out there other than him who knows more? I am sure there is. I don't see why you guys get your panties all in a bunch over him? He was asked to volunteer his time to moderate the board and I think he is doing a great job!
Qballs rants are funny on youtube and his pics were great that he posted on here, but some of his other things he said were uncalled for, yes we all may be 'grown-up' here and understand the foul language and so on and so forth, but there ARE young kids here that don't need to hear it anymore than I am sure they probably do nowadays.
You guys are crying and whining like someone stole your candy from right out of your hand just because your buddy is gone, if you don't like it, leave too, just don't let the door hit you in your arse on the way out.

Some of you people just don't get it ...Qball got rubbed out for a reason .......get over it. Here is some more riveting news for you.....the Moderators don't have to give any of you any explanation, even if you in your tiny minds think that they do.....they don't have to explain anything to you, they don't have to give you any analysis, they don't have to send you a personal message to say they are sorry, they do however have to keep some semblance of order for the person they represent.....they owner....repeat OWNER of this board, whether you like it or not...again I say get over it. As for the moderators ...they (even if you with the misguided allegiances don't think so) do an outstanding job, sometimes under difficult circumstances....and they should be applauded for doing the job they do....so I say to them ....THANK YOU.: very^c  NOW....for Qtip .....behave yourself and do your time....you earned the ban...and consequently got it. For all your fan club (or riff raff)... decide you wish to be contributing members to this forum or piss off. Because we won't miss you(those who contribute with thought and composure we will). My 2c and whether you like it or not I am entitled to it after reading(and wasting time reading) some of these posts) ...nuff said.

Is this foul language called for... My only question is and I haven't got a straight answer yet is who punishes the moderators when they step out of line, use profanity, and break the rules. Now Tomcat or your real name....."For you to guess and me not to tell"......those words in this country are not profanities and as far as I am aware are not in your country, elsewise the computers would have recognised them and blocked them out.
There are far more things to worry about than them at this stage. Such as being decent to people .....not spiteful and malicious as I see towards others that I see in your post. Remember a teaspoon of sugar gets you further than a teaspoon of lemon juice.
I also will reiterate.....the moderators here do an excellent job(go to some other boards and see the mess) and for the most should have all of our support to ensure the existence of this forum and our future enjoyment. If they step out of line (in your eyes) send them a polite pm and ask them....abuse gets nowhere...well it does, it gets you where Qball is.

Ah, Voices of reason and understanding !! That is why I refuse to quit moderating on DHS, I realy do enjoy this board for the most part. I have been here a long time now. It became a place to share my love of big iron and the pictures and information that I collected with others that also enjoy machines real and models.
The whole model hobby and real equipment hobby has evolved in the past few years "I recall when the only scale mining shovels, cranes, loaders, etc either cost thousands of dollars or were not available at all, now look what has occured over that time... just a glance at the front page of the DHS site will give you an idea...
Its been a pleasure to help with this site as it grew, yes it has ups and downs, but mostly its an awsome place.. even the people that say its gone to heck somehow always come back... Its realy one of the best places for all of us that enjoy the iron that makes the world run and for collectors and builders of the model tributes to them. All in all its a great place, Thanks to all who have supported us "moderators and management" in this last weekends difficult period. I am not a proffesional moderator, just a man who enjoys equipment and a few models, so I am far from perfect. I just do the best I can as does Bob and Korey, Chuck,and everone else trying to keep this forum going. Regards, TimT.

GC1 its not they steeped out of line he broke the rules. So by your eyes the moderators can break the rules than erase it and than re-post it but we cant. Oh yeah I have been contacted by one moderator already and have PMD Chuck on this whole ordeal. Oh yeah your answer doesn't mean jack for the simple fact who punishes them when they can delete it. And by the way I LOVE LEMON JUICE. Makes me bitter, cruel, and SPITEFUL. I love it when I cant get a straight answer. I will be spiteful all I want there pal. Just for the simple fact I CAN. I asked one simple question and I get the same response nothing. Who steps up and tells them they are wrong and gives them the warning? I fully understand why the moderators are here BUT WHO PUNISHES THEM? We sure don't and how can anybody prove it if they have the power to go back and use the power of backspace and delete?
