ya keep her looking well Gaz, a few more wheel nuts to polish on an LTM1500 what sort of daily/weekly/monthly maintenance do you carry out,or do you have a "lad" that does this?
Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

The daily and weekly checks are down to the driver and to be honest they are very simple, just got to keep on top of things and not run behind. Takes about a hour to do a weekly properly and maybe 10 mins to sort out a daily, just a quick run over things. Anything more than this is a job for the fitters...although i actually enjoy helping them out a touch, don't mind getting my hands dirty Gaz

I can take this now and show our machine drivers! they only believe in turning the key themselves,
how often does the lifting rope get changed?

Few pictures anyone? For those who have not guessed my move over to heavy cranes has been delayed for the time being, hopefully not too long but in the mean time i'm still getting around on my 150. Largest tower crane i've done to date, a liebherr 132EC-H8, and I reckon about at big as a tower as the LTM1150 is up too, only just got it on a 62.2m main boom and right on the button with capacity with the slew ring and jib. Job done Wait a minute! that 500's floating!!!!! lol Gaz

Few more pictures of the ol girl....still running around and about with it.....still no word when i'm moving up to heavy cranes but for the time being i'm quite happy running around in the 150. Olympic stadium makes a good back drop don't you think? I've spent a good amount of time up at Harwich port working on the Greater Gabbard wind farm, this is a huge project and will be one of the largest off shore wind farms in the world, all i really handle is the blades along with a LTM1200. And also had another 150 up there rigging up ALE's CC2600, no jacks on the crawler at all so once the tracks where on the LTM1100 & 1150 had to lift it off its stands to put it on its own tracks! Intresting job the greater Gabbard, here are a few links - http://www.4coffshore.com/windfarms/greater-gabbard-united-kingdom-uk05.htmlhttp://www.seajacks.com/Enjoy Gaz
