I wasn't really sure about the ones in the Thorley yard, thought they may have been 797s. Remains to be seen when they arrive on-site. I'm still doing my initial training on them next week. Doing my trainer and assessor course at present, so I'll probably be part of the introduction of the new trucks on site. It will be interesting anyway!!

Cheers,
Craig

Yeah they have both going together in there.

Easiest way to pick the 97 from the 95 is the front ladder is laying the opposite way in front of the radiator.....

better let me double check that. As I just noticed the 95 in the pic is the same as a 97 but I am sure the one at the dealership is the opposite.

If the ladder is going the opposite direction across the grill, that would be a customer specified option. The 795F AC trucks I have been around have the same direction ladder as the 797s.

The best way to tell them apart would be to look for the retarder cooling fan/ gridbox on the deck. If the don't have the fan units mounted yet, then the odds of getting them next week for training probably aren't that good.

Gavin, yes they are for FMG. There are also 2 new 994H loaders, a 854K and 2 new 24M graders. They are also getting a letourneau L1850 (currently being assembled in Perth) and I suspect a 6060FS also being assembled in Perth.

Anyone else seen the white 6060 excavator and 6060FS they are putting together in kewdale at the moment? Was just on the way to the airport so didnt get a chance to get the camera out.

I'm surprised you Perth guys haven't taken any photo's of Komatsu's or Hitachi's yard. Both full of huge machines. 3 more WA1200-6's are in there this week.

There's also a lot of gear near Action and G&G mining's yard.

2 brand new PC4000's and PC5500's.

There's also a rental mob near by and they must have around 30-40 machines in their yard. Everything from 730's, 830's, 793's, RH200's, WA900's etc.

WesTrac are also using a yard up the road to build trucks.

And for Gav - I've never seen so many scrapers in my life. Theres a yard or two along Welshpool Rd littered with CAT scrapers.

So where are the pics mate?!!

There are certainly some scrapers in WA. I visited 3 of the players down Bunbury way last November and it was great to see the enthusiasm for the best and cheapest dirt movers.

Rob and Rowan

Are you guys both agreeing that they are twin 6060's...... the shovel still has the Bucyrus burgundy stripe so that is definately not their "first" 6090 FS.... but may just be the second unit.... I cannot see the pic very well on the iPhone!!

Please confirm!
