Here is a picture showing the rear dolly now roughed in and the rear steering cylinders in place. Now I am lowering the deck a couple inches as the side view drawing I used was too high when it was all done. By tonight I will have that done . Tomorrow I will build the 4 inside ladders and all the inside bracing . So by tomorrow night the whole model should be roughed in. Next week I will start the sanding , body work and primer and painting .

Today I am sanding all the lowboy parts and will start priming the first parts this afternoon . By the end of the week , all the parts should be painted. Need to build a load ? Does anyone have any pictures of the load that it was supposed to haul ?? It would be fun to make that load to go on the trailer.

Here is the first picture of the painted truck parts , they are just sitting on the truck frame . After lunch today I will start detailing the inside of the cab. You can also see all the tires for the big lowboy trailer. I just got the trailer painted yesterday . I'll post the next picture tomorrow as I assemble the wheels on the dollies. Thanks again for all the nice responses over the last few weeks as I built this large model. This is the only website I post on and it has been fun.

Damn.................I don't know what else to say Don. Your work makes my half attempt at hand-made modeling look like a pile of doo doo. That is incredible. Can't wait to see it complete.

Here is the first picture of the painted , dollies assembled with hydraulic hoses attached. Also now the cab is detailed and other hoses are attached. Later today I will do the final lowboy assembly and take several pictures to share with everyone. Thanks again for all your kind words as I shared the building process on this awesome truck model over the last few weeks. I will put the lowboy aside for a while before I build the large Atom smasher load for it. I will let you know when I build it as it will really make the model look even more realistic. As always, I'm the first one to admit my models are far from perfect , you saw the few pictures I built it from , so considering that, I am very pleased with the final look of the model. And I sure still enjoy building them.

Here are the first two completed pictures of the 10 foot long 600 ton Heavy Haul Lowboy Truck Model. With that nice orange color it looks very appropriate today on Halloween , (:>) Hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween .
