The Mammoet LTM 11200-9.1 will be at the Amsterdam RAI for work at the KPN radio-tower for a while. Here's the schedule: Tuesday 9 September: Arrival of the base unit of the crane Tuesday 9 September until Sunday 14 September: Erection of the crane. From this day until Sunday there will be a total of 19 trailers arriving at the jobsite with components to build up the crane. Monday 15 September until Tuesday 30 september: Actual lifting works to further aid the construction of the KPN tower, Depending on the weather (mainly wind) this may be longer or shorter. Addition of the final (fly)jib part is planned for the weekend of 20/21 September. Completed weight of the crane with all the necessary jibparts, counterweight and crane mats, will be about 450,000 kg (992,100 lbs). I'll be there coming weekend, with any luck Thursday 18 September the weekend of 20/21 september and the weekend of 27/28 September. I've seen the crane already in the flesh at Bauma, but this will be much more interesting!!

Turner Brothers Crane of Houston, Texas is getting on of these cranes. I believe they should be one of the first in the states to get one. That was from Turner Brothers Crane employees last winter. Some were not to eager to end up with that crane because it will mean lots of travel.... Fritz

She is a beauty, can not wait for the 1:50 version to be in stock, look good next to the 1800, but probably dwarf it. Any inside scoop of how NZG is doing with this model ?
