I will eventually, maybe for Christmas. I don't have enough right now for it as I bought the ycc luffing kit for the ltm 1300 and the 11200 jib set

As an operator of both the AC 700 and the AC 500-2, it's interesting to note that based on the capacity charts, the AC 500-2, in some areas, has better charts than the larger AC 700. For instance, for windmill work on luffing jib, with approx. 149' of main and 157 of luffer + SSL for both machines, the AC 500-2 offers a higher capacity than the AC 700 (117000 lbs compared to 104 000 lbs @ 85'). Although, for shear lifting strength the AC 700 will clearly lift more up close, the AC 500-2 can out perform the AC 700. The company I work for found that they had more use for the AC 500-2 than the AC 700. Foot print was always an issue. The AC700, with a footprint of 40' X 40' + mats, was simply too big to fit on most sites compared to the AC 500-2 with a foot print of 32' X 32' + mats. With the AC 500-2 keeping up in the charts in a lot of areas with the AC 700, it made sense to part with the larger AC 700. It's interesting to sit down and crunch the numbers. The larger cranes are not always the better ones, depending on the scope of the work.
This may be why Terex has discontinued the AC 700 while keeping the AC 500-2. Perhaps they feel the AC 500-2 can fill the gap to the AC 1000. Remember a 700 ton crane will rarely ever lift 700 tons in it's life! It's more important to focus on what it can realistically do. way to show them the stats there demag boy lol

A couple of things one must add here..
If it comes out in 1/50 it is a must for the serious crane collector. It is a serious crane for a serious collector and as such will sell like a hot cake.
It will (in 1/50) be just as popular as the 11200.
No matter what scheme ..if and when in 1/50...one is coming here.
Only a mother could love it ....there are a few mothers on here but you don't hear me complaining.

I reckon no with this bit. For some reason its just not same excitement as the 11200. Thats my opinion
