That was a steal. I threw in a $300.00 bid on one a year or so ago and it ended up going for around $350.

Very cool. I'd really like to have one as I've spent some time operating a few old P&H s. Mariot had one he made in to a really nice piledriving rig. He posted it a while back. Really nice buy on it. I'd have grabbed it if I'd seen it.
Okay, I went back and looked up the post and Mariot deleted to pictures off of photobucket so can't show the link. Maybe a PM to him will wake him up. Or he may be along.

I have thought about taking pictures of this crane for some time, guess it is now.

I have looked for extra boom for this crane, but no luck, I think it would look good with two more sections.

Hi Eef,

Was it you that had posted a tutorial on how to modify the P&H crawler tracks a while back?

Has anyone else here also widened the track spacing on their 670 model?

Love to get a model of this. Pity its discontinued and doesn't have any other boom sections.

As Mammoet says "SIZE DOES MATTER". Slowly collecting Mammoet 1:50 scale stuff. Mainly cranes!

The boom comes unassembled and the sections are connected with tiny brass screws and nuts. The gantry does not fold down, unless you drill out the rivets at the base connecting it.

I got 2 of this model so that I can have at least 1 with 2 boom inserts to get some decent range in dragline mode.

I have this model since it came out,and only now have i discovered the tracks extend!! d'oh! Anxious Anxious

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Also I have two models of PH. But my models don't have the tracks that widen. Have you modified your model?
