Well the large cranes keep on coming. Deep South is in town now and they brought a Versa crawler with them. Luckily I had a work camera with me and got a few pics. The pics are small because the camera sucks. Kiewitt had a videographer on site taking time laps of this site. I was speaking with the guy and he is going to be there til the take ther crane down. I try see if he would get me the video of this crane but he said he could notSad Guess I will have to get my own, I will be out of town til Sunday night but I will try to get over there and get some pics with the good camera, maybe my side kick Plumber can get us a few pics of this crane tomorrw?Whistle

They had a Liebherr LTM1250 on site as the set up crane

There was support trucks showing up as I was there, amn I wish I had the good camerad'oh!

Plumber go get us some good pics tomorrow, they way they were talking this will be here for about a week.

You certainly don't need me my friend. Those are pretty darn good shots if you ask me. I will get over there this weekend and snap a few for my collection though. What will they be lifting? bridge sections or something? Didnt realize there was anything in the area that required a large crawler.

They are good pics but the MPs are small. I need to get my Sony out and get some nice quality pics of this beast. Just look for a guy taking pics there he is very nice and you can get some nice pics where he is located. I might go over on Monday maybe I will get lucky and they will be off that day.

Unbelievable. Lucky, lucky, lucky! From this point forward I think you just need to keep the "good camera" with you at all times!

So...what do you charge per night to crash on your couch?

Cool, do you know what they are going to lift?

Btw that mobile crane is not an LTM 1250. 1250 is a six axle crane, that one is some other five axle one.

tidy bit of kit, thanks for posting.

The liebherr is a LTM1220 5.1, hard to tell the difference between the LTM1200 & LTM1220 but the 220 has 5 tele sections and the 200 6, count them.

Tell me about it, I did not bring it with me this week because I was not planning on driving around this week. Feel free to crash at my place you can baby sit my kids for a night and we'll call it even. There is about 3 good sites to get nice and close to the crane I can take you to.

They are lifting bridge girders at a large radius so they had to use this crane. I was hoping Deep south would get its AC1000 by now and they could have used that for this job.

Here ya go. Posted on request. These are right before they boomed up. You dont' realize exactly how big and heavy a single pennant line is until you watch guys try to wrestle one into place. They kept looking at me like they wanted to stick a wrench in my a**. Can't blame them. It was plenty hot.

Great pics Sean I finally stole the comp from the wife to down load the rest of mine

When I got there they were loading the second weight tray. they were using the flatbed and driving back and forth loading it with the 1220. They walked the crane into postion I sure do hope they are not done by next SundayPray
