Well BobM2004 stopped collecting a long time ago. He used to paint models for other people and that funded his own collection, but when the likes of WSI and others started coming out with every livery under the sun it significantly reduced what Bob was able to do. I kept in touch with him for quite a while but I have not spoken to him for 3-4 years now, largely because he is no longer in the hobby.

Since stopping the diecast collecting he got into glass blowing and whips! Not sure if either of those are still what he does now though.

I agree, I also wonder what some of the "old time" customizers are doing now?

Some of them have played significant roles in bringing to market the bigger, highly-detailed, models that we've come to love, in just about every livery on the planet.
That one guy in Bangladesh is still gluing peeshy bars to the trackx of his cranes, and Sunkist Diecast is putting a D6 cab inside the bucket of a loader, mounted on a tow truck.

I'm looking forward to the next offering from Plonker. They usually announce in mid-Spring.

I'm still around - retired, building a CC4000 and contemplating more episodes of Ulf Construction. It should be easier to setup and shoot a diorama now that I'm down to one cat! Poor Fred was always hogging my Haagen Daz and unfortunately got diabetes. But he lived a long, happy life. Smile

Great to hear from you Ulf! I'd love to see more dioramas from you.

Haven't done any PhotoShop in YEARS. I imagine a steep re-learning curve... Not talking
