Just got this email from Sarens: On 3 October 2010, an open day will be held in the grounds of Sarens’ head office in Wolvertum. In addition to a number of spectacular demonstrations, visitors will be able to view a large selection of the company’s equipment. Take a look inside a crane, rise into the air on a working platform or take a ride on a tractor - it’s all possible. The purpose of the open day is to provide those interested with a look behind the scenes at Sarens. Drivers and operators will be competing against each other in the following skills - dexterity, loading and securing. In addition to all this truck and crane power, the open day will be supported by other activities such as a fantastic performance by the guest group Clouseau. Furthermore, Sarens will be introducing a completely new merchandise line consisting of textiles and miniature models. These products will be sold in a separate web shop to be launched officially on 1 November 2010 under the name www.sarensshop.com. Do you have children? Don’t worry; they will be more than welcome. For the very young, we will be organising a bouncy castle and a balloon competition. Children over 8 years will be able to take a ride in one of the three heavy load tractors on the tractor track. We hope to see you all in Wolvertum in Belgium on 3 October 2010 from 10:00 a.m.If anyone is going, take plenty of pictures! Engineering; Its all STRESS and not just Force over Area!

I've been trying to get Ainscough to pursue something similar but I think the company is a little too small for something like this. Mammoet and Sarens are international and there stores will service the world where as we are a UK only market.
Good to see though, we'll see a few more models in there livery.

this is good news, been googling "sarens shop" every so often in the hope they had one,Felbermayr jumped on the band wagon too but their prices for their models seem to be "International phone number" sized, lets hope whatever comes from Sarens doesn't follow this Sarens speedos anyone?
Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

I am sure that this has been pointed out on other threads; Why don't we see open houses like this in America? Do they occur and I have not seen them? I would love an excuse to visit Europe, but....
1:1 or 1:50, I am still in awe.

I got it too, didn't sign up for any newsletter either but as paul said, they may have got it when I expressed interest in a certain model also! Maybe that certain model is only a gimmick to get peoples email addresses to advertise their new shop

Gaz Do they have any hand-out schwag right now...Just me thinking out loud but ,but just about anything that can be handed out to employee's and good customers could be sold through a online store..the models would come if the interest and sales are there...call it a pilot project ...whats a few extra shirts or hats gonna hurt on an annual order...
