Caterpillar 259D [Diecast Masters 1:50]Diecast Masters has in advance of their worldwide introduction at the International Toy Fair aka Spielwarenmesse 2017 announced their first new to release Caterpillar scale models in their 1:50th scale diecast "High Line Series": Caterpillar 259D Compact Track Loader #85526Yes indeed, you read that correctly: 1:50th scale. Truly a super surprise! I am therefore very pleased that Diecast Masters has been given the opportunity and took the challenge to deliver a Compact Track Loader in 1:50th scale instead of the always applied scale of 1:25 or 1:32 for this type of machinery. WORLD CLASS!! And this is only the start for more to come.....

This is great news and hopefully a wheel version will be accompanied close behind. However Wouter I feel you had a hand it the influence where the track vs wheels are concerned due to your CCM custom 272C into compact track loader  . Also to all those like me who desire a cat skid steer in 1:50 know that consciousness intensions as a unified collective always get answers and we now receive what we ask for as collectors. The power of influence is within each of us. Thank you Wouter for the exciting surprise. Roland.

UPDATE! The making of...a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track LoaderThe Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader is a "one of a kind" custom scale model. Ad used for this project a "spare" Caterpillar 272C Skid Steer Loader which has been released by Classic Construction Models in a limited edition of only 200 pieces. The model is hand crafted from brass in 1:48th scale. Ad modified the Wheeled Skid Steer Loader version into a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader version and added (as he always does -)) tons of extra details including a scratch built Caterpillar BR172 Brushcutter. In the "Making of...a Caterpillar 289C Compact Track Loader" we show you how this custom model has been achieved. Today I have added the fifth and final update of the "The making of ..." SPOTLIGHT! Caterpillar Comic booksDuring 1950's Caterpillar Co., Peoria, Illinois distributed through her dealer network "Operators and Maintenance Handbooks" in a Semi-comic book format. These comic books where in fact instructional publications by Caterpillar intended for adult customers using Caterpillar equipment. Most of them where released in English, 32 pages, full color, 8.25-in. x 10.5-in. and printed on semi-slick paper. In the Mini Movers - Caterpillar Scale Model Group on Facebook we have create a special photo album to share our Caterpillar Comic books. Besides that we are very curious and want to find out how many Caterpillar comics books are actually published by Caterpillar. Do you have one that is not listed in our Facebook photo album "Caterpillar Comic books" please let us know.

UPDATE! Modelshow Europe 2017Saturday, March 18th, 2017 the 26st Modelshow Europe was held in the flowerauction "Plantion" nearby the city Ede in the Netherlands. On this special exhibition one could see all kinds of miniatures and model construction projects in the field of earthmoving, cranes and heavy transport. This Modelshow Europe exhibition is unique by its grand design and the only one in Europe. Many collectors and builders showed on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the modeller where offered for sale. Ad Gevers staffed with Richard van der Horst, Anton Monshouwer, Huub van Dijke, Gertjan Veld & Jack Schrijen again had a joint stand. Mini Movers together with some members of our "CSVT" group from home and abroad, was present during the entire day in and around the booth. Many visitors where hugely surprised by the first custom 3D printed Caterpillar scale model. Today I updated some new series photos.... and more to come! Curious? Click on the photo!

NEWS FLASH! Caterpillar 320D LRR [Custom 1:50]Within our group of Caterpillar collectors are builders who built various custom versions by using standard scale models as a donor for their custom project. So I was lucky to meet on the Model Show Europe 2017 in Ede fellow collector Lorenzo who made in-house, in a very limited edition, a custom upper body of the Caterpillar 320D LRR in 1:50th scale. Caterpillar 320D LRR Hydraulic ExcavatorThis highly detailed custom scale model, made of resin material, is combined with the matching cabin protection and by then using the boom and the undercarriage of the donor Caterpillar 323D Hydraulic Excavator (a 320D is also an option) from Norscot in scale 1:50th will be soon by Gertjan for me transformed into a realistic replica of this "reduced tail swing" machine. Spielwarenmesse 2018 [Diecast Masters 1:50]Diecast Masters is present with a booth at the International Toy Fair aka Spielwarenmesse held from wednesday, January 31 up to February 4, 2018, in Nuremberg, Germany. Diecast Masters shall during the Toy Fair reveal their line up with the new Masters Diecast scale models for 2018. In addition to the previously announced models the Caterpillar D11T Track-Type tractor (in two versions) and of course the first "Caterpillar Evolution Series will be shown for the first time to the collectors. It will be available in two different versions: Leading and trailing.
