Thanks for the memories Diecast Logger!!

Seeing that old D9 brings back the memories of the smell of the grease, oil and fuel. These old girls always had a memorable smell to them something like asphalt to a paving guy!!!

Nice pictures, Diecast.
It's nice to see smoe older Cat machines that still bear the C-logo and that has not been screwed up with newer stickers.
It apprear than the cab on the D9 use to be on a Fiat-Allis or Terex dozer, just by the look of it.

Cat 245.....Now and Forever

I am looking for industrial auction brochures from Ritchie Bros, Miller & Miller, Forke Bros, First Team Auction, Max Rouse, etc from the 70's, 80's and 90's.I am a collector and heavy equipment enthusiast and these pamphlets are loaded with nice pictures of cleaned and freshly painted equipment.Thet don't have much value once the sale is over but they are a great help to me in preserving the memory of machines that are no longer being built. Please, help my hobby by looking in your old storage boxes and file folders for these old auction sale brochures.Your help is much appreciated.

Cat Custom products badge is a pretty vague meaning. From what I've seen, it simply means that something was ordered from Cat with a specific request, like a 6-way blade on a 6r or MS ripper, etc etc...

The two companies on the job sound like one is clearing and the other might be starting the E&S work and be part of the dirt contractor. Nice pics, thanks for sharing... though the last 6 don't show up for me.

regards,
Jim

Thanks. What I meant about the two dozers is that there both Cat custom products. One is this site and another at a road job one land clearing the other grading. There is one company on this site.

yesterday we had someone come out and dig new sewer lines. They were using a 2013 Bobcat E35. I got to run it for a while. It is the first machine I have ever run.
Most photos are of the guy who ran it the most.

I was able to dig part of the trench. then later backfill/grade then drove it back up the hill.

Love the E35 pictures, and I'm glad you got to run it! Those are nice guys, and that's a nice machine!

Actually, a few weeks before that I got to run an E42 that we rented to re-do my buddy's GF's front yard. I've pulled levers before, but that was my first time really "running" a machine on a job. What a ball!! Those new E series Bobcats are AWESOME. Everyone I've heard whose run them says Bobcat really got that series right. I couldn't believe what we did in a weekend with an E42 and an old Tak.

,
Thanks. The people who came and did the lines are family friends who work in the house building industry.
It is amazing how good a picture you can get when at a stoplight, any idea what the boom belongs too?

Doesn't look quite big enough to be a 7550. I'd say something in the GMK5220/5175 range?

Someone who works with them every day might be able to tell from details if its newer (say a 6300) or older machine. Now, if it was an old Manitowoc, that'd be another story Cool

Nice photos, around here Logging is mostly a wheeled feller buncher, Two skidders ,and a trailer mount loader, Sometimes you will see a chipper or grinder but not often. But yesterday I saw a Tracked Feller buncher for the first time ever, It seems to be cutting trees around power lines.
komatsu XT445L with XA233 felling head.

There wasn't any other equipment on site that I could see.
I am curious to know how long komatsu has been painting them yellow.

Today I got some photos of a Tigercat 480 Mulcher and I met the operator who was waiting on a new tooth for the cutting head.
