So a couple of weeks ago I got a great deal on a twh 357 Pete boom truck. She was in really rough shape when she got to me. So I tried to save the cab but it was just to far gone and missing a lot of stuff. So I had a kenworth t880 that was waiting for some surgery to get turn in to a roll off. So I started measuring and did a little cutting and ended up with a t880 boom truck. I think it turned out pretty nice, I also think this maybe the only one like this. Let me know what you think. Thanks! The donors The outcome

Ah, you beat me to it. I had a black T880 and boom assembly all ready to go - just need a longer chassis (dump truck is too short). Nice work! Daily Diesel Dose.com| All Ready Mix.com | Plowsite DOT Thread | If your only contribution is complaining, please don't contribute!

Nice work! I'll give you a little tip... The chassis' are almost the same in dimension so if you cut carefully and glue them together you can barely tell anything was changed. Plus you keep all the detail the twh chassis has, I switched out the twh wheels in the back for the first gear ones, there way more shiny.

My original plan was to just put the T880 cab on the TWH chassis, but the hood mounting points between the two are pretty different. I don't know why TWH wouldn't make a nice white truck, I bought the cream one thinking it was white, what a disappointment. Always enjoy your posts, Keep up the good work. I believe the cream is a national crane original color am I wrong. As many as I seen of this actual machine or set up the boom has always been cream colored. Cab and everything else is what ever but the boom neve any other color. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe what they agreed upon. Great job brother

Those look really good. Are you making a roll off for them to fit on?

When are getting around to them I can get you info on 4 designs the company I work for use. They would be Canadian design which would be similar, but heavy duty. And I may be interested in one.

If your switching some out I could use 2 sets of twh/sword duallies. I'm in the planning process of building a Michigan gravel train. Kind like this... And as you can see it has ALOT of wheels lol

I modified another fg Kenworth t880, this will prolly be the truck to pull my gravel train. I took 40 mm out of the center and got rid of the pusher axle. I also added some chrome fenders out back and some stacks. Here's some pics...

Nice dumpsters. Did you shorten the frame on the Aztec gold KW or just do a swap?
