Craig,

Mammoet got a contract in 2011 in Mauretania (West Africa) to remove approx. 70 shipwrecks in Nouadhihou Bay on the Atlantic Ocean, ranging from 200 to 1200 tonnes.
To perform the dismantling, they shipped down there 3 Hitachi ZX heavy excavators, fitted with hydraulic steel cutters, to work from the beach side:

https://www.handling-network.com/hitachi-helps-clear-graveyard/

WSI made some years ago a very good model of that Mammoet Hitachi item. As I didn't have any Mammoet combination available at that time, I "contracted-out" the transport operation to another Dutch heavy hauler.

Regerds.

Extremely interesting article guy. What a mess for the ocean. Can you imagine the pollution it has caused? I remember those WSI Mammoet 870s. They were highly sought after. Haven't seen one lately. They sold for big bucks. Thanks for the information and your pictures. Craig

Poclain tracked and wheeled excavators (Conrad modesl) are moved by Renault R and Kerax tractors on an ACTM lowloader semi-trailer (MiniCams models). The yellow Yumbo wheeled excavator on the 2nd picture is a Wespe Models resin unit:

Berliet and Hanomag-Henschel 6x4 tippers, displayed already, here working together on the same site:

The Bucyrus-Erie hydraulic and the Menck cable excavators are made by NZG.

Some of Jean-Paul's models "running" on his balcony in a typical small Provence village of the French Riviera.
SAVIEM and Unic tractors are Minitrucks kits, towing France Jouets and Joal semi-lowloaders, loaded with resin-made Wespe Models Poclain excavators:

Mercedes-Benz/Titan 8x8 Conrad model (found in a local swapmeet at a ridiculous low price), carrying a large diameter pipe on its Minitruks-based dolly:

Scania-Vabis tractor (NZG model) towing a demilitarised Titan lowloader (Dinky Toys) literally stuck in the gravel:

Road move between 2 construction sites of a fast-erecting Liebherr 32TT distribution crane. The tractor is a Berliet TRH 350 6x4 unit:

The tractor is made from a Minitrucks kit, Jean-Jacques built a homemade gooseneck structure to move the Liebherr crane (Conrad origin).

The same Mercedes-Benz LAK 2624 6x6/2 with Meiller tipping unit, proposed by 2 different German model producers:

First model to be produced is the NZG yellow one. The other truck is a resin production from GMTS issued in 2012.
It seems that NZG tried to reproduce a Wackenhut cab with its larger and flater screen, unless they completely failed in reproducing properly the very specific rounded windscreen of that famous truck, which is difficult to accept from such a reputable model company.

To be followed.

Haulage of a windmill Siemens SWT-2.3-108 generator nacelle of 2.3MW and 82 tonnes (Tekno model) by Brande Maskintransport, a specialised Danish transport company, absorbed a few years ago into Mammoet Wind.
The combination is made of a Titan GmbH Actros 4151 MP3 8x8/4 tractor, equipped with a high capacity Palfinger PK 150002 Perf. G knuckleboom crane (modified WSI model), towing a Nooteboom MCO 109-07V(V) 7-axle extendable lowbed semi-trailer (Lion Toys model being modified):
