Transport of a large farm tractor by Van der Vlist (Holland):  Scania R420 6x4/2 tractor + Nooteboom Euro 59-03(P) 3-line modular semi-trailer with extra-low bed (NZG models) loaded with a Case/Steiger 485 HD articulated 4x4 tractor and 4 extra outer wheels for 17.46 tonnes in total (First Gear model). Guy just curious to know, how long has your team been collecting and customizing. You cover all aspects of the transportation industry it is amazing what you have collected and customized, it just keeps going. Are any or all of you in this type of business or do you just love trucks and equipment. Amazing.

Jean-Paul was a truck driver and ran a trucking company for some time, Jean-Francois was also a truck driver when he started working and then spent most of his life driving buses for the Nice bus company. Jean-Jacques made all his career in the French Post Office, while I worked all world round for French oil companies.
As most of kids at that time (1960s), we all had Dinky Toys but weren't really "collecting".
I wouldn't comment about the 3J "collecting viruses" but will just say that mine really hit me in the seventies when Gescha, then Conrad and NZG started producing nice 1:50 models. It dangerously aggravated in the late nineties, with Corgi producing lots of heavy haulage stuff.
The last one to get the "virus" was probably Jean-Paul, who really started in the 1:50 scale early 2000, after he met the 2 other "J" in a models collectors show in South of France.
Even if we have different preferred collecting topics, what is common to all of us is that very few models are just "off the box", with most of then being built from either kits, or modified diecast units.

A short road trip to Austria with 2 Felbermayr contractors carrying elements for their Liebherr LG 1750-S2 DB heavy crane:  - At front: MAN TGA 33-530 FVD 6x4/2 tractor (modified Siku model, to be painted) + Goldhofer SPZ-DL4-46/80AAA 4-axle extendable flatbed semi-trailer (modified Conrad model) carrying 4 counterweight slabs (4x12.5 tonnes) and 6 GTP Europe temporary access wood mats of 1.5 tonnes each (Conrad elements + homemade load), - In the background: Scania T580 6x4/2 tractor (modified Tekno model) and Goldhofer SPZ-DL6 6-axle ballast carrier semi-trailer (modified Conrad model) loaded with 2 counterweight supports (2x10 tonnes) and 6 counterweight slabs of 12.5 tonnes each (Conrad elements). On its way, the GBH12 meets a Renault R310 tractor and its Nicolas lowloader carrying a Case excavator (MiniCams + Minitrucks kits and Conrad model):   One can see anything on that small road in South of France, for example a Brasilian Volvo moving a Putzmeister concrete pump (Conrad models, MiniCams containers kits):   Regards.
