Yesterday, pictures were released of the Towsleys Manitowoc MLC 650 VPC MAX and the MLC 300 VPC on Facebook. I've heard that they are expected, late 2016 or early 2017. :d/

Back in 2015, we had known the MLC650 was going to be done, but was notnsure who it would be. I am glad Towsleys is the company doing it, although I feel like the Weiss Brothers could have been a good contender. The MLC 300 should be a welcome addition.

Weiss Brothers are producing both cranes. Projected availability early 2017. Ian http://www.CranesEtc.co.ukhttp://www.Twitter.com/CranesEtchttp://www.YouTube.com/CranesEtcTVCranes Etc on Facebook

The $600 figure being bandied about is Canadian dollars! Just to clarify; yes the model is €420 at bauma and that's more than 600 Canadian dollars and a little less than 480 USD. That price also includes the German MwSt of 19% so a realistic price from Germany would be a little over 400 USD or a little less than 515 CAD plus shipping. Chuck should be able to chime in on this with a firm price next week I would guess. Also, where are the photos of the MCL300 model Brandon? I'd like to know what led up to (or happened after) this apparently tense moment caught on camera. I can't look at it and not laugh, and wish I knew how to add captions like in a comic book.

I wonder if the 1:1 has different wheels for overseas, like the LTM 1500-5.1 does? Hence the wider wheelbase and flared wheel arches. I haven't had a chance to compare so this is just a thought/guess seeing as the photo shows one from New Zealand. Paul R

Looks like the standard Conrad tires, wish they would go above this and do new tires. Same thing with the cc3800 using the same tracks from the 8800 and the 1750. I know its cheaper but lets get the detail going. Conrad is getting passed by all of these other manufacturers with detail to cost. NIkl Scale Models

Every picture of that crane, including Grove's website, has those wheels and tires on it. Very disappointed at the model!

Some countries like OZ and NZ have to put bigger rims and tyres on to be able to be road registered as Paul said. It appears YCC are catering for this upgrade for want of a better word.

Paul R Yeah after they released it with the crappy tracks, and then after everyone pitches a fit about it they change them. I for one was very excited about this grove. But with a 600$ And little to no detail as far as I'm concern I think I'm gonna pass on this. On the other hand woot woot were getting some new Manitowoc's!!!

Any more news besides cranes... I believe us cookie crowd folk didn't get anything at toy fair, and only 4 new models announced at bauma plus the hs8100, that is basically a rebranded hs855 with a couple new details....

Bauer has released a new version of the MC 96 Foundation crane, with the BC 35 cutter +HDS-T variant which is also on display as the real machine on their stand. Soilmec has released an updated version of the SC 100 crawler with trench cutter.
