Preparation for the blasting is on-going:    Detonator cord, linking all explosive charges, is 100% laid at the end of the day shift and blasting scheduled when most of personnel is far from the site:  Regards. Guy

Guy that explosives truck is a great custom, that is truly a work of art.
Thanks for the pictures. Will they be using the Pete’s air horns for the blast warnings.

Is LorraMine planning to install a crusher? Our photographer just found this drawing when visiting the mine Engineering Department:  Wait and see! He will try to get more infos on this project. While on site shooting the new Liebherr mining excavator, he took the opportunity to take pictures of some other newcomers he saw around:   To be continued. Guy

That day, the Caterpillar CT 660 truck, equipped with a Hiab XS knuckleboom crane and a flatbed, was bringing a small Terex skid-steer compact loader on site:     We'll come back (tomorrow) hoping to find out what could be the use of such a small equipment within all these giants. Regards. Guy

[...] We've since asked the mine Management about the future project, but we didn't get a lot of official information back:  They agreed to reveal that the fabrication of the crusher itself was progressing as per schedule:   The only other thing they could confirm was that construction of the crusher control room - to be installed at the very top of the structure - was well advanced in some project subcontractor's premises:  Regards. Guy this is fantastic these men are serious about their hobby. They have to be using real dynamite (small firecrackers maybe) for explosion day and they have to be getting close if they are packing the holes. This is like watching General Hospital you have to tune in everyday because if you miss an episode you will not know what is going on. That last statement is what I hear my wife saying I do not watch soap operas but I know somebody in NC who does Q@$&#*=a.

[...] The Maintenance Intervention Team Leader provided us with the response: the P&H 4100 shovel was recently equipped with an electric cable hydraulic reel that got stuck in a position where no crane access is possible. The only solution was to get a small equipment accessing it from under:  The skid-steer unit helps to maintain the hydraulic motor while the reel is disengaged and linkage inspected:  Some time later, live tests after repair:   That was a quick and successful intervention!
