Delivery of a stone crusher by Cadzow Heavy Haulage, a famous Scottish transport company located in Blantyre.
The heavy haulage set is made of an ERF EC14 Olympic 8x4/4 tractor (modified Hartsmith kit) and of a King Trailers GTL 128/5HS-19.5 ultra-low bed 5-axle semi-trailer (modified Corgi model) hauling a 65 tonnes Svedala CM 1208F tracked stone crusher unit (modified Corgi static model):

Another Scottish convoy with S. Kydd, a local Forfar transport company, moving a Soletanche-Bachy plant equipment. The 35.9 tonnes Sandvik TH 550-17 articulated 4x4 underground dumper (Conrad model) is carried by a Scania R143M-450 6x4/2 tractor and its Goldhofer STZ-L4-44/80A extendable lowbed 4-axle semi-trailer (Tekno models):

Another combination of the same Forfar company: Scania R580 6x4/2 tractor + Nooteboom OSD 48-03/L lowbed 3-axle semi-trailer (modified Lion Toys models) carrying 2 New Holland 7070 4x4/2 farm tractors of 7.25 tonnes each (Siku models):

One can see that the semi-trailer lowloader lowbed, originally flat, is now being curved upwards under the effect of some Zamac internal stresses. Has anyone in this forum experienced the same problem with Lion Toys/Tematoys Nooteboom models before?

Guy you need to get that trailer over to Jean-Francois’s garage and get him underneath it to solve that problem. After what he does with trailers that should be a walk in the park. Other than your defective trailer (I hope you did not back that into a brick wall going really fast either) another great set of pictures.

Steve,

I'm afraid that Jean-Francois - generally pretty clever, as you know - can't do a lot to correct the arching process.
It is the second time it happens to me on that type of Lion Toys/Tematoys model. I have another trailer which was arching as well, to a point that its rear was touching the ground. I tried to correct it but broke the bed. This one was glued and does not arch anymore (stress relieved?). I was unlucky enough to get 2 lowloaders of a batch cast with some kind of stress: as far as I know, it doesn't happen on all 3-axle Nootebooms built by Lion Toys/Tematoys.

Guy maybe you can contract Jean-Francois to build you one scratch. It seems to be a nice looking trailer and looks good with your cab over, it to bad you have problems with them. I guess problems with equipment in diecast are the same as in the real world, but a least you can use your hand crane to keep the load moving to its location.

Richelmi Berliet tractor towing an old 1-axle Titan dropside semi-trailer:

The truck was built from a MiniCams kit, concrete blocks and cement bags are from Minitrucks, while the engine was originally part of a damaged Joal grader.

Heavy haulage operation by Holtrop - one of the Dutch companies working as contractors for Van der Vlist - involving a Scania/Läxä R420 8x4/4 tractor + a Nooteboom Euro 124-25 (JPD) 5-line ultra-low bed lowloader with a 2-axle front dolly (NZG models) loaded with a 56.20 tonnes Caterpillar 365 BL tracked excavator (Norscot model):

Still in Holland, but almost 40 years earlier, before hydraulics were widely used in the industry.
Scania-Vabis LT 110 Super 6x4/2 tractor with ballast box + Scheuerle T 6101L 3+3-line ultra-low bed trailer (NZG models) carrying a 54 tonnes Weserhütte W180 tracked dragline (modiifed NZG model). A lattice boom element and the cable excavator bucket are part of the same transport (NZG elements):

Two Lion Toys models of some of the Dutch truck industry products, perfectly suited to local conditions when soft sandy grounds provide little bearing:

Ginaf X 4450 S.530 10x8/6 truck with Gijsbertsen tipping body (left) and Ginaf X 4446 T.430 8x8/6 tipper with Gijsbertsen body (right).
Strangely enough, Lion Toys forgot to replace the DAF logo (DAF providing truck cabs to Ginaf) on the 10x8 by a Ginaf one.
