Guy that bus with the duel wheels in front reminds of the Thunderbirds and rich lady with her chauffeur that had the Rolls with the duel wheels. On the bus are they also duel steering. Can’t get enough of that single axel yellow Scania, that is a mean looking rig. Steve

Gensets delivery by some Azur Modelisme combinations: All gensets are Minicirque kits with, from top to bottom: Rolls-Royce outfit (behind the Nicoletti Berliet TLR 250), Renault unit (with CoGeBat Renault Kerax tractor) and SDMO set (carried by Richelmi Renault T 310). Regards. Guy

The Marrel wooden dropside tipping body was fitted on a Berliet GLM 10 M2 (Number 277 in Nicoletti fleet) driven by Jean-Francois' uncle: Regards. Guy

As for all his other models, Jean-Francois has precisely reproduced the Nicoletti Berliet tailgate opening system, its tipping body wooden dropsides, the hydraulic lifting rams, its specific mirrors, etc: Regards. Guy

Guy Motors produced trucks in Great Britain from 1914 to 1979. Fully independent first, the company became part of Jaguar Cars in 1961, absorbed by British Leyland in 1968. 2 examples of Guy Motors production: - Guy Invicible II 4x2/2 tractor and Boden 2-axle flatbed semi-trailer, loaded with five 26'' gas pipes produced by South Durham Iron & Steel of 5.06 tonnes each (on the left), - Guy Invicible 8x4/4 tipper towing a demilitarized Carrimore 1+1-axle drawbar lowloader (model being modified) loaded with a JCB 3C Mk1 4x2/2 backhoe-loader of 7.37 tonnes (on the right). All models are "modern" Corgi models, except for the modified lowloader (1960s Corgi Toys model with Tekno drawbar front axle). To be continued. Guy

Guy the completed model is very nice. One question on the company advertising, it seem that the company name on a roof placard is very common in your neck of the woods, while over here we prefer the doors for the most part. Is there a reason they put their name on the roof. Steve

I have no definitive answer to your question. I suppose that when headboard or space on the roof are available, they are natural places to advertise, as you can see them from away (and in particular when you are driving the opposite way). They don't prevent advertising on the sides, which then complement these. The advertising on the doors are(were) quite common on that side of the pond as well (see Nicoletti, Richelmi and CoGeBat models displayed), as there is often no better space available. 3 low price Siku tractors, mainly bought for the Scheuerle units which were hooked to them. After some improvements (removal of their "toyish" fifth wheel and fitting of white metal ones, replacement of undersize wheels by Teknos, etc), they can be compared with much more expensive 1:50 versions of Scania R620 4x2/2 units: From left to right, their Tekno semi-trailers and loads are: - Kraker CF-200 3-axle high volume sliding floor tipper, - D TEC Flexitrailer FT 43-03V 3-axle container carrier with extendable chassis, carrying a 40' reefer container, - LAG 3-axle tipping container carrier loaded with a LAG 40" container used for bulk transport.
