Managed to get both models rigged up over the weekend. Decided to go for the heavy lift option on the ROXU:

I have seen several pictures with the Senn AG using this configuration, or very similar. To date, they have never used the offset jib that comes with the model!

I intend to get some Senn AG decals made for the luffer.

Conrad Wiesbauer LR1750 SLH:

A nice model overall but there are some differences in shades of yellow on the boom parts. I also had a pendant that hadn't been molded correctly so will have to get another one from Conrad.

Conrad Wagenborg Nedlift AC500-2

This is probably my favourite of the AC500's, though I don't have them all. I came close to repainting one into this livery but glad I didn't now. I will add a little bit more detail to this one, such as decals on the main boom, license plate and probably paint the boom sections black where necessary. I think only the Sarens one would come close, but as I missed out on it when I had the opportunity (d'oh! ) I don't have one! I'd rather paint my own than pay the high price the Sarens version now commands.

Hopefully I will have at least the LR rigged this evening.

It does not come with the Derrick, which I think is quite nice. Just a nice, simple, long main boom.

Boom Up!!

Pretty impressive when fully rigged! Although there is one boom section missing. Wouldn't fit in my model room otherwise!

Yes it only comes with the windmill tip, but there's also a small lattice section that has pulleys but is it not a heavy lift head.

As Brandon said, Conrad are releasing the reducer and windmill tip. I was told they'd be shipping by the end of August.

Your on a serious spending spree lately Paul!!!! That AC500 is very nice, contemplating picking it up meself. I agree with you about the sarens AC500, I missed out on it as well and cant justify the price they sell for now. So if your painting your own you can book a second one in for me Whistle Wink Teeth

Same here, I fairly kicked myself when I missed out on that one! I am slowly but surely painting one up for myself.

I should really just get down and do it. It is actually an easy one to do - basically all the same colour, Conrad models come apart easily and I think I even have some paint, though perhaps not enough Think Oh and then there is the issue of needing to buy the factory AC500-2!

I added a few minor details to the Wagenborg Nedlift AC500-2:

License plates and painted the rear light clusters:

Decals on the boom and black paint plus white spots on the LH CW's:

I think this is one of the nicest AC500-2's to date and I like adding some minor details as I think it improves the look. There are a couple more decals I should have had made but it was too late by the time I saw them.
