Steve,

We, in Europe, are not very fond of base-ball game, even if there are a few teams playing that game, but, as far as I know, there is no major European competition for it: so nothing is planned at the mine conference room on the Superbowl evening.
European people generally prefer soccer, rugby and basket-ball, just to name a few sports games.

I hope it helps.
Guy

Also I know of a few Europeans that like to watch a Formula 1 race once in a while. Don't worry about the Super Bowl, or baseball. They have nothing to do with one another, but neither one are all that important beyond entertainment.

Looking at those Chevy escort vehicles, I got curious about whether the Ford salesman has paid a visit to the purchasing department. I hear they have a pretty nice escort configuration available.

John,

Thanks for the clarification: I checked and found out that Super Bowl was about American football NFL final game and not at all about baseball. Sorry for all American fans of both sports but, on that side of the pond, I have to say that these 2 sports are very seldom played or seen on TV.

Regards.

John,

The pictures you refer to were originally posted on the French Forum in June 2016 and the Ford Sales Rep. had a meeting with LorraMine Purchasing Dept by mid-2018 only: that explains why they didn't select any Ford pick-up at that time.

I hope it helps.

Our photographer was asked by the mine Safety Dept to go on site to document the inquiry:

Apparently, a dumper was moving backwards to make its U-turn and get close to the P&H shovel and didn't see a car behind him.
Another hypothesis is that the car driver thought that he had enough time to move away before the dumper reached him.
We'll know more when the internal inquiry is over: the most important is that, except for a few bruises, the car driver escaped unhurt.

To be continued.

As the on-site inquiry is now completed, the wreck can be towed away and mine resume to routine operations:

Was the driver of the car promoted to Lead Safety Manager?

Are you an enviromentist, or do you work for a living?

Guy you have to tell the safety manager that they have to keep Quinella off the Lorraine Mine land, if you buy a couple dozen donuts each morning that will keep him in the office and out of trouble. I want to say his eye sight is going but I don’t want to say it is because of his age, but I may be wrong.
Great pictures and Quinella is still posting so I assume he did not sustain any injuries just make him pay for the increase in the liability insurance and again donuts will keep him in the office.

LorraMine Managers are positive about environment and have installed some solar panels on headquarters building:

A satellite telecom dish has been put in place too, to improve long-distance communication to/from the remote mine site:

Note: all items were provided by "Manugo", the French collector helping Denis with some "photoshoped" 9800 transport pictures.

New dumper tires are being delivered to the mine:

The truck and its load are checked at the main gate:

After his site safety induction, the driver is allowed to proceed to the workshop area:

Our photographer - who was there for the unloading operation - will provide us (next time) with a complete reportage.

Regards.
Guy

Guy great pictures, keep Quinella out of the TV room with that dish on the roof, he will be watching those naughty pay per view programs, that might be a good thing though after seeing what he did to that suv.
Thanks

Guy: You never told us about the drivers in the trucks. Do they take apart the trucks to put in the drivers, or do they open the windows and insert? That Pete with tire load is out of this world. I may come to France to see this. Where again is this dio? i'll be in France in September. Craig

Guy be careful how you answer “The Q” the last thing you want your neighbors to see is a short somewhat older man parading around your neighborhood in a leopard thong with dress socks and sandals holding a man purse and he will have that white sun tan lotion all over the top of his head. Your neighbors will never forgive you.

Craig,

I answered your first question on December 23 already, here it is:

GuyM wrote:
Craig,

I have got a response from Denis on questions above:

"I introduced the Peterbilt driver through the door. When vehicles have fixed doors, then I dismantle the cab. When the place is too narrow, legs and arms are cut and glued back, once the driver is in its seat.
Most of LorraMine figures are coming from Preiser or from a hobby German site: https://www.rd-hobby.de/de/Catalog/Detail/14163
I paint them myself but sometimes I modify some of them, as required
". [...]

The dio is built in Lorraine, North-Eastern part of France, not far from Germany, but I don't know precisely where, as I never met any of the collectors in charge. But I'm sure Denis will be more than happy to let you know if he is available at that time for a visit.

I hope it helps.

Thank you Guy: I didn't see that or probably forgot. I'm trying to forget things these days, like some schmuck up North. I use Preiser figures too.. Craig
