Something that Americans don't do very well, at least based on the 10 years I lived there. Europeans tend to get more vacation time from what I can tell. Dutch get 5 weeks, UK get 4 weeks and I think France might even get 6. And these are all standard with a full time job. Civil service get more and with flexi time. Paul R

I agree Zach. When I was there I started out with 1 week and then was allowed 2 weeks after 3 years or so, but wasn't allowed to take them Feb thru' July or Oct thru' Nov. Didn't leave a lot of choice. Company I work for now are American but when I started I had more vacation than by boss who had been with the company over 10 years!

Hope you have a fantastic break Paul...and in your travels you find that rare, gorgeous, obscure and absolutely fantastic model that we all seek in our travels.....and display it here on your return.. Re the holidays(annual leave)...I get .....wait for it....9 weeks annually, plus I have 35 weeks accrued Long Service Leave, unlimited sick leave, been at this profession for nearly thirty four years...and still love it with a passion.

Lol Paul...I hear where you are coming from there.. Those wives are wonderful things in themselves and I/we love them dearly but they are absolutely useless in a fight and when hunting for models of our desires...LOL.

Paul R Thanks for the info, I'll do some research on that. Regarding vacation in Canada, we're between the US and Europe. I loved the European lifestyle when I was living in Belgium.

The Wm Whyte LTM 1050-3.1 by WSI turned up today. I think it has made it into the top 3 of my favourite LTM 1050-3.1's! Family portraitSadly it has become apparent that I did not quite get the yellow right on my LG, but it will have to do as I am not painting the SOB again! Also some fun facts as I've been asked a few times: 140 cranes in total including 24 Mammoet cranes. 61 x Conrad. 26 x NZG. 22 x WSI (2-3 more on order). 13 x TWH (2 more on order). 5 x YCC (missed the Sarens LG 1550 which I am kicking myself for). 5 x ZON. Remainder are odd ones from Norscott and others. Paul R

A LTM 1200-5.1 would go well with those Whytes units.
